In honor of Shark week on Discovery Channel, I decided to read some non fiction about sharks. This was a new book for me and I loved the photographs and text features (glossary on each page). It is just right for 4th graders and a great way to get excited for Shark Week!
This book was a hit in my class along with other Valerie Bodden books related to big and small creatures of the earth. I read this text to my Kindergarteners and followed the reading with a writing assignment: If you were a shark in the sea, what would you like to see?
