Three outstanding exponents of the Enlightenment appear here, in addition to contributions from the major Romantic playwrights and poets, several Realist and Naturalist novelists, and the pillars of the Generation of 1898. One-third of the selections are the works of Spanish-American writers. The book contains short texts from a selected list of spanish speaking authors, from the 15th to the 20th century. The rich variety of vocabulary, images and styles makes this a comprehensive and affordable way to get familiar with the writing of these selected authors.
I'm grateful to have had access to these texts, I found the book in an exchange shelf, at the right timing. Now it's time to hand it forward to other readers. May the following observers of these texts find joy and comfort in its reading.
