Near Fine Hardcover Paper-covered boards, in dustjacket. [40] p. Number 886 of an edition of 1000. Numbered, and signed by Keats on the colophon page; pencil marks corner front flyleaf, else no other marks. A beautiful copy, nearly as new. Just a little wear at spine ends; no other defects. Tight binding, intact hinges, spine a little off square in what looks like a binder's defect (i.e. not from use). Unclipped dustjacket practically perfect, with slightest creasing at top edge.
Jonathon Keats is an American conceptual artist and experimental philosopher known for creating large-scale thought experiments. Keats was born in New York City and studied philosophy at Amherst College. He now lives in San Francisco and Italy.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jonathon... Very good, unexpected. Reminds one of Borges, and of some Michael Ende stories. A tragic rendering of Pygmalion as Golem creator.
Some of Keats' art projects are wonderfully goofy, others are tacky. I suspect he has a source of income other than his art works: there is something of a hobbyist about him.
