I was a little sad lately and thinking of Italy. I am fortunate to have been twice. Once we flew into Roma and took a bus down to Naples. Our second trip we flew in Bari and rented a car. Both trips are dear to me and in a year when travel is not possible, re-reading this book was a nice escape.
There are chapters on various rooms, a chapter on regional flavor (Northern), food and beverages and even two pages of recipes.
Whether you have been to Italy or not this book brings to the forefront the warmth and hospitality of Italians and how they live. I have a few Italia made items, table linen, a vase, some dishes but you can evoke Italia by purchasing strategically items that will bring that warmth to your home.
Enjoy!
