I have been working my way through the Bomaw series ( and will review those previous to volume five very quickly) and I have to say, this is one of the most engaging series I have ever read. I love Ms. Keyes' style of writing; it's genuine, humorous, and honest. I have enjoyed every aspect of the series so far and the more I read, the deeper I get into the intricacies of the characters Ms.Keyes has brought to life.

I love how these characters are maturing with each story. Sylvia, an independent woman who has been through hell and back is now contending with having married Shawn, who on all accounts is a traditional male in that he wants to protect and provide. I find it humorous that Sylvia and Shawn are constantly at odds with each other; their relationship was built on a foundation set by the disappointments of their separate lives and after a short courtship,a pregnancy, and a wedding, they are now tasked with discovering who they are to each other and to the world. Jake and Vivian's burgeoning relationship is fraught with emotional traps due to their respective pasts, yet I couldn't help but start to root for their happy ending. It's not always tidy ( but neither is love) and there are some moments in which the reader will exclaim "I know he/she didn't" but that is the hallmark of an excellent writer- the ability to provoke such emotions.

Beauty of Man and Woman, vol 5 is a very fascinating glimpse of love and the human condition and provides both entertainment and food for thought. I would recommend this book, this series to everyone!

This book is just as good as the last, one that I have learned about this group of books is that they are very emotional ,whether you are laughing or crying or thinking how romantic, or getting mad at a a character you will be fully engaged in these books. Shawn and Sylvia are learning to live together and be a family, he has become the husband and father that everyone needs. Jake is starting to realize he loves Vivian their story is one I am truly enjoying . I have to continue to the next book because I am excited about how everything is turning out and I wonder what mysteries the next book will uncover.

This is an awesome series, by the time you reach book five; you've have learn to love this family, and their flaws, and their triumphs. You have laughed, cried, and whoop and holla while reading it. I highly recommend this book, and be prepared to enjoy your ride.
