Max and Ruby's Bedtime Book

Rate this book
Time for bed--but first a story!

"Just one more story," beg Max and Ruby, so Grandma tells one more and then another of their very favorite stories, the ones about the things they did when they were younger bunnies. Bursting with Wells's exuberant pictures, this large format book will delight fans of the beloved bunny siblings who star in their own show on Nick Jr.

Here is three stories in one. Grandma is reading stories to Max and Ruby before bed, the three stories in this book are: Ruby's Restaurant, Splish Splash, And Max goes to school. All good stories that feature Max and Ruby and between each story we go back to grandma reading the story to them for bedtime. A nice collection.

Rosemary Well’s book, Max & Ruby’s Bedtime Book, is the story of two young bunnies who love to hear stories of when they were younger.

The main characters, Max and Ruby, are off to bed, but ask grandma to tell them a story before they go. Grandma tells the story of when they played restaurant together and Max made his very own mud pie. After that story, they begged grandma for another one. She told them the time when they took swimming lessons and learned how to swim. After that one, Max and Ruby begged grandma for just one more. She told them the story of Max’s first day of school, but by the time she was finished with this story, Max and Ruby were sound asleep in their bed.

This book is a good book to read to young children when they are going to bed to serve as their bedtime story. I liked this book and think it gives a good representation of children, as they love to hear stories and hear about old memories they had, especially before they go to bed to help them fall asleep.

Oh my gosh, Julia loves Max & Ruby. It looks like she's starting to get out of the "little kid" cartoons and into the older kid cartoons to my great sadness but when she saw this the little kid came out again.
This doesn't have to be a bedtime book, we read it in the middle of the morning today along with some others we had left over from the last trip to the library. (We needed to finish so we can get started on all the books Julia received as Christmas presents!)
There are three stories inside a bigger story here, thankfully with grandma around unlike the actual cartoon much of the time.

A very typical Max and Ruby book. All of the stories were cute (although, I wasn't real big on the one where Max dives into the water without knowing how to swim), and my nephew just thinks the Max and Ruby books are only this tiny bit below a good superhero book. They are go-to books for him, especially, I've noticed, when he seems to be having to process more difficult emotions, or when he's feeling kind of blue. These are comforting and soothing books for him, and I think they can really make little kids feel more in control of their world. Max can kind of be their little hero.

Max and Ruby is series of picture books that I recommend to parents and teachers of 2nd grade and below. Children will love this book because it is also a TV show. Max and Ruby are brother and sister. They are rabbits, which makes it fun for children. This book in particular would be fun for a grandparent to read to a child because it is about Max and Ruby's grandmother reading them stories before bed about them when they were bunnies. The book includes bright colors which any child will love.

Maxx and Rubys bedtime book is about Maxx and Ruby spending the night with their grandma. They beg and beg for her to tell them one last story before they go off to sleep, so she decides to tell them stories about themselves when they were younger bunnies. Max and Ruby books are apart of a series, and the author does a great job of telling and using real life examples of what its like to have a sibling. The author uses humor, seriousness, and compassion.

Grandma tells Max and Ruby three stories before they go to bed.

Stories:
• "Ruby’s Restaurant"
• "Splish Splash"
• "Max Goes to School"

In "Ruby’s Restaurant," Ruby and her friend Louise have a pretend restaurant with toy food.

In "Splish Splash," Ruby, Max, Louise, Louise’s sister Lily, and Lily’s doll go swimming at the lake.

In "Max Goes to School," Max and Lily go to preschool in Max’s toy airplane.

Max and Ruby want to hear story after story before bed, so their Grandma tells one then another and then another and then another. She reads to them their favorite stories which are the ones about the things they did when they were younger. This is a great book to encourage kids to read before bedtime.

This is a good book to read to your kids when you are trying to get them to go to sleep because after awhile they eventually will fall asleep. You could even adjust the stories to fit the names of your own kids to grab their attention more.

Three stories about our favorite little preschool cartoon bunnies, Max and Ruby. The title of the book indicates that it's about bedtime, but in reality it's only so in a cursory way. The stories have nothing to do about bedtime, but the premise is that Grandma is telling the two siblings these stories before bed. Overall, decent stories and entertaining for anyone who enjoys these characters.

Rosemary Wells is one of my favorite Children's authors!! I love kids books and if I get started listing all the titles I've read I will bore others and myself. I have very often picked one of her books for storytime at the library.....Rosemary is up there with Dr Seuss and PDEastman in my estimation!!

It is a good book for parents to read for their children at bedtime. The little bunnies ask for a story before sleeping, so their grandmother read for them. In Ruby's story, Louise acts as the chef, while Ruby acts as the waitress. Children love acting games, and it is a regulation in their childhood. The book also has good illustration.

Three typical Max and Ruby stories. I liked the first one about Ruby's pretend restaurant the best, maybe because Natalie loves toy food so much. I like how Max and Ruby books by Wells come in so many formats, large story books like this, but also various sized board books.

This felt like really feeble work from Wells. Of course, I had the opportunity to meet her just before reading this one for the first time, and she is not an entirely likable person. May have colored my judgment of the book a tad.

Big colorful pictures and three gently zany stories. My daughter (almost three years old) loves it. A great library book.

Max and Ruby are back with three stories their grandma tells them in the hopes that they will fall asleep. Each story stars the two young bunnies and includes all the wit and charm we know Wells for.

My child loves Max & Ruby. This book is 3 separate stories. They aren't "bedtime" stories but it's called "Bedtime Book" because Grandma is trying to get Max & Ruby to sleep.
