I bought this second hand when I was younger on holiday because I wanted to read a book on our way home. I love this book so much and was so excited to find out that there were others. I haven't been able to find them though so I may have to research online.

Homework book #5. I picked this up at a used book sale - it was the "danger.com" title that hooked me at first. Turns out this is book 5 in a series of books put out by author Jordan Cray over the course of a couple of years about a decade ago. Being that the series is out the dangers of the information superhighway, I figured it would be a trip down memory lane, with nostalgic twangs throughout. But this particular book has held up well over time. The references to an "A" drive were quaint, and the reference to cell phones not being very common was too, but aside from that, the tech references were not heavy and so not dated.

The plot did have some surprises - I didn't expect one major plot point that I won't give away here. But for the most part it was a standard thriller, well-paced, with a good main character with a strong voice, full of angst and regret.

Stalker has a plot that's similar to the movie Megan Is Missing, only it's slightly less intense. It's still very intense for a teen book. The characters are interesting and the story has some terrifying doses of cold realism.

This is one of those "young adult" books you pick up randomly with low expectations, only to be completely absorbed within a few pages. I got it as a teen, and still pick it up every few years to re-read as a quick thrilling escape.

The narration switches back and forth between someone who has done something horrible, and the main protagonist who suspects her friend is "chatting" online with someone she shouldn't be. You go from feeling chilled, reading through the eyes of an unknown criminal, to feeling intrigued and supportive while the protagonist works on solving a mystery. Honestly I'm surprised this was never turned into a film, or at least a made for tv type movie you'd see on Lifetime. The plot is just as good as any big "girl disappears" type film, and characters are vivid and would make great personalities on tv.

An easy (but chilling) quick beach read or late night spook.

For the Mystery category. I was pleasantly surprised, actually. The plot was a bit strange, but I was happy with the characters because they had bad and good elements like a real person. Not as stereotyped as I expected. ^_^ Also ---SPOILER-- someone dies, and I felt that was good in this case, because people don't always survive.

mina is one hell of a friend to be risking her life for her friend Camille who was terrible to her.
Camille and mina were inseparable until summer of their senior year that Camille lost weight and gained popularity. her boyfriend is the schools typical bad boy who she's soo in love with until she meets a random guy online who was a lot older and rich. after mina and Camille outbreak at the mall mina leaves her while Camille gets a ride but the problem is .... she never returned home. the police are looking for her but refuses to hear from mina statement and Camille boyfriend. they think she ran away since her mother is dating a rich man and showing no attention but only for her own greed and a father who only fights with the mother and has another family. mina and Camille boyfriend start an investigation to find Camille. when the police found Camille dead body they lost hope until a clue appears
