He would never do anything special. Or that’s what he thought. Curtis just can’t do much right. He trips over his own feet, runs from bullies, and wears awful glasses. How’s a kid to cope? Then, suddenly, he is transported to a strange and foreign land. There he meets a nobleman, who insists that Curtis is a foretold warrior for the kingdom of Milan. Curtis, a warrior? Yeah, right! Yet he finds himself leading a small band of fighters in a rebellion against a cruel tyrant called Drangen. Drangen controls the weather, forces harsh taxes on the people, and leads a scary army of Grems. Can Curtis even hope to succeed in such a venture? But, for the sake of Milan, he puts his doubts aside and determines to do his best. And along the way, Curtis discovers true friendship, courage, and the power of believing in himself.
