Yukiru Sugisaki (杉崎ゆきる; Sugisaku Yukiru in Japanese) is a Japanese manga artist. Her hobbies are dramas, video games, and "collecting rabbit things".
Sugisaki's face is rarely seen, as she prefers to draw herself with a rabbit face or mask in her manga profile images. She also seems to have developed a trait of leaving her series unfinished before moving on to different projects (Notably D.N.Angel, which has seen multiple month-long droughts between chapters. She has just recently done many Lagoon Engine installments, including the Japanese release of volume 7.
Previous to that, she completed a small series entitled Eden, which had its debut in the October 2006 issue of Shōnen Ace, and finished in February 2007. It saw a departure of sorts from Sugisaki's previous series, with a darker, sci-fi noir theme and older protagonists.

Currently, she finished D.N.Angel in 20 volumes (5 released only in digital).

Her work

She made her debut in "Asuka Magazine" with "Namaiki no N". Her other works include "D.N.Angel (13 volumes, unfinished) ", "Rizelmine (1 volume, finished)", "Lagoon Engine (7 volumes, unfinished)", and "Lagoon Engine Einsatz (1 volume, unfinished)". Her "D.N.Angel" manga and "Rizelmine" manga have also been adapted into anime series. Because the D.N.Angel manga was incomplete at the time, the anime has many differences to the original manga, most notably the ending.

Sugisaki is also the artist of the "BrainPowerd" and "The Candidate for Goddess" manga, both of which have been turned into an anime. Her "Neutral" artbook contains artwork from "D.N.Angel", "BrainPowerd", and "The Candidate for Goddess". Her second artbook, [FEDER:] (which is no longer available for purchase), contains newer artwork solely from D.N.Angel. She has also penned the well-known "Sotsugyo M", and created doujinshi for series such as "Tenkuu no Escaflowne", Neon Genesis Evangelion, Lets&Go , and King of Fighters.

Most of her works feature young, cute main characters and elements of Yaoi, though not considered Yaoi.

Her current project is D.N.Angel, which has finally begun serializing in Monthly Asuka again.

Hilarious and suspenseful. Everything about the date with the Harada twins has been such a blast to read; I couldn't put this one down. Wiz is my hero in this volume! Poor Riku, though.

Dark and Daisuke’s concurrent dates with Risa and Riku Harada get a lot more complication when a monster, a creation of the Hikari attacks the amusement park they’re all at. No, this time it’s not Krad. Worried about Daisuke, Satoshi heads in his direction, fearing his father’s schemes may have something to do with the current crisis. Risa and Riku’s evening may have been ruined, but Wiz’s has improved, since he no longer has to sit through scary movies. (To-To, who tailing Wiz, discovered that she loves them.) Yes, Daisuke does have his family following him and while neither he nor Dark may not have wanted them along on a date, they’re great in a catastrophe. Emiko and Kosuke out-cuted the younger generation, although I’m curious about the matter of the sacred maiden. Dark claimed he never could be with Risa, so she can’t be his sacred maiden, yet he appears to be falling for her. Not that things could work out any better with Riku for the same reasons. For the very first time in the series, Riku comes off as less honest than her sister. Her moments of suspicion of Daisuke felt forced and awkward, although the way she picked up the similarities between Daisuke and his father was cute. I’m both intrigued by and unsure of the appearance of Argentine, the new sentient Hikari monster. Should there be another monster besides Krad? What can Argentine do that Krad can’t? What is the connection between Argentine and Satoshi’s father? Just what is Satoshi planning to do? He’s telling his father that he still plans to capture Dark, yet it’s clear he’s worried about Daisuke. All of these questions were raised by this volume, leaving me wondering what would happen next.

Jfc this whole double date thing is so stressful. I'd have just laid down on the ground, and refused to participate in anyway. I've also realised that Risa is kind of like those weirdo true crime fanatic women that crushes on murderers and stuff, in that she'll excuse every crime Dark does because he's good looking. And now that I've planted that thought in my head it will not go away.

Dating switch-a-roos and wacky hijinks mixed with pending revelations about the characters... some was hilarious and some was confusing. Daisuke, just tell Riku already!!

I actually haven't read all the DNAngel books because I can't find them anywhere. WHSmith used to sell them but I never see them there anymore. I bought a couple out of Waterstones this one time but that was the last time I saw them there. I've read quite a few of them though. about 3 or 4 is lying dormant on my shelf. I aspire to be like Dark. He is my hero. My man-crush. I want to look like him. I want to be as cool as him. He's like my Anime-guy role model.

This series is so addictive, I can't seem to stop reading it! :) As for the flashback that a lot of reviewers are saying is confusing, yeah... It's supposed to be. You're not supposed to completely understand that until later when it comes into play again. As for now, I'm still loving every moment of this series. I love how the author keeps everything so unique and fresh, unlike a lot of mainstream manga nowadays. Highly recommended!

i was quite literally laughing out loud with this book. it was hilarious! i'm not exactly sure i was suppose to find this as humorous as i did, but i loved it. i mean, two dates as two different people, at the same time? who wouldn't find that funny? but by the end, it was set up to be serious again. so i'm totally prepared for #11 to be more thrilling than funny.

Again. I have to say. The couple sitchuation is very confusing but it is so original and so....pulling that it is hard to just say NO. lol. It also has a way of pulling at your heart strings so gently that you don't realize how much something touched you until later when you start to think about it.

The story continues!

Too confusing. During a conversation with Risa, we get a peek into Dark's past, but it's fitted in rather poorly and just ends up being confusing in a bad way.

This book is pretty much what you expect from D.N.Angel, though the bouncing back-and-forth of the date made this story hard to follow. More so than usual.
