3.5 stars This was actually better than I expected. It’s pure smut.
I’m not really into reading pet play but there was a lot of other smut going on with this couple. Aaron sees the fmc at a coffee shop. He blackmails her into a tpe for a 5 month contract. This includes everything but the kitchen sink.

Lots of triggers in this one. It's a degradation fic. Has noncon. Def not for everyone.
When Aaron (billionaire psycho) decides to manipulate Willow (barista) when she turns down his request for sex in exchange for money. He spends months treating her like a dog. In the literal sense. She wears a tail, leash, paws, puppy ears. Eats from a bowl on the floor. Etc etc. It's not romantic unless you're into that sort of thing. He decides he wants to keep her so he gets her pregnant.
They end up together in their version of HEA.
degradation isn't me kink. I gave it so many stars because I appreciate this authors work on taboo topics.

I wanna first say this book is not for everyone, the hero is a dick for 70% of the book and some of the kinks aren’t what I would usually read but I surprisingly liked it. There’s like 10% plot and that’s it but I wasn’t too bothered by it as it’s not a very long book.

3.5 stars pretty good, mostly erotica, and I’m not complaining. Not the biggest fan of this “bdsm,” with the pet play but it was a fun read. Bits of humor here and there. Aaron did reform himself, but he was such a caricature that I didn’t mind his antics. In truth, he did care for Willow in his initial selfish and disparaging way.

I liked that it was a novella. Not every book needs to be long. Plenty of spice too. The writing style was ok, some grammatical issues, but still an entertaining read.

Aaron's and Willow's story is bloody 😈😈🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. There is no way to review this book without giving away information, every trigger in your morbid mind was here. From A-Z and a lot of dog play... use your imagination. I would recommend this book for any interested in a great role-playing book and a quickie read.

A lot of (not all), but a lot of the sex bits in this one were right up my alley so I enjoyed those things for what they were. The story surrounding it I was not so interested in, I never felt any emotional/romantic connection between them, and there were a ton of errors. I ended up skimming the end once the sexy bits died down.

As the preface reads, “Aaron’s Pet” consists of 60 to 70 percent smut, and honestly, that is the only reason I am here. So I was expecting a cheap, erotic novella. But surprisingly, it turns out to be better than I thought. And although I am not the biggest fan of happy endings and simple story lines, this book soothed my soul and left me feeling content.

“Aaron’s Pet” begins like a stereotypical smut story with a dominant rich man claiming ownership over a submissive poor woman. Aaron – who is hurt in his pride by Willow's rejection to his offer – forces her to sign a contract that binds her to him for five months, while at the same time she must agree to be used by him in any way he chooses. So the first three quarters of the novella is all about fucking in the dirtiest ways possible, including lots of pet play and breeding – until Willow is actually pregnant. Aaron finally realizes that Willow is more to him than just a pet, but by then it is too late. He releases her from the contract because she needs some distance from him to come to terms with herself. But Willow also recognizes her need for Aaron during her pregnancy, and eventually the baby brings them back together.

Different.. But delicious 😍

I read this in one sitting, I absolutely loved it. My only complaint is there are a few grammatical errors, but that was easy to over look 😊.

Oh, Aaron…

Aaron is out at a coffee shop when he comes in contact with a barista, Willow. He was intrigued by her and sent his personal man to bring her to his home. Willow was forced and basically told that she either signs a contract to live with him for five months or he gets her mom taken out of her living situation. Aaron has a black heart and only cares about his wellbeing.

The smut is at least 60% of the book - forcing her to sleep in a cage and act as his pet. The spicy scenes are hot! 🔥 Aaron starts to allow her to sleep in his bed after Willow endures his punishments and pleasure.

Aaron starts developing feelings for Willow and always keeps a small bit of regret in his head. Willow tried not to fall for him, but Aaron started showing his caring side throughout the months.

I really enjoyed the twist of emotions towards the second half of the book! I don’t want to ruin too much, but I love how Aaron changes for the better. I loved this book WAY more than I thought I would! Great read!

I had a really hard time knowing what to rate this or write about it. I was probably about 25% in and almost DNF the book....which I rarely do. It just wasn't my thing....the degradation and humiliation and lack of empathy or emotion from Aaron was a real sore spot for me.

I’ve thought of nothing else but of how I’m going to humiliate and degrade this girl, so she never fucking forgets her place in this world.

“You sit on the floor between my legs, on your fucking knees,” I say with the venom clear in my voice.

He starts out super mean, but then slowly you see the changes. He stops making Willow sleep in the cage (yes he does that in the beginning) and actually starts feeding her. Can this self absorbed, psychopath change? You'll have to read to find out. Yes there is a HE believe it or not.

“Never thought I would see the day. Aaron Lewis hardcore dom falling for his little pet.” I don’t deny it but I don’t like hearing it. I’ve never made myself vulnerable to anyone. Not even my own mother.

I wanted a quick guilty read and stumbled upon this short story. I didn't expect much as I read some reviews that said it's all smut and no plot.

Aaron is a dom. He blackmails Willa into a contract to use her as a sex pet for 5 months. He is quite ruthless, but slowly things change. He is definitely not a hero and more like a sadistic villain, but Willa is not that innocent after all.

The triggers (puppy play, degradation, dubious consent) were out of my comfort zone. The plot is thin, but it didn't bother me. For a short story, this was pretty good. Check the trigger warnings and don't have high expectations and you will not be disappointed.

not worth the read tbh

I started reading the other book I think about Dom and when he mentioned this couple, I was like oh maybe I should read this book. It was only after I started reading it that I remembered why it was so familiar and why I’d stopped reading it. I don’t mind consent when it’s clear that the girl is into it from the beginning, but when he pretty much takes all her choices away and forces her into an arrangement that she can’t say no to you and everything that essay since she really doesn’t have a choice and all because, she said no I couldn’t finish this book

Quick spicy read

This was a quick spicy novella with some dark tropes.

Aaron is used to getting his own way with women but when Willow turns him down he decides he’s going to break her but his plans back fire and she ends up stronger than ever. He likes to degrade women, to punish them and treat them like pets and some of his behaviours with Willow are harsh and on the extreme but in his bid to break down Willows walls she might just break down some of his.

There were a few editing errors but it didn’t detract from the story.

This is straight up non-con. Threatening the heroine’s mother after making her lose her job, car and apartment to show how easy it is means that everything was done under duress. The smut read like a grocery list. No depth, descriptions or build up just “suck this, b*tch” or blah blah blah c*ck, f*ck, etc. I say this as someone who loves erotica and smut and has read books very much in the cnc and non-con universes. Trent Evans’ The Yielding of Rose is a much better example of the genre.

The book needs editing. Many of the errors were glaring.

I hated this book . he wanted to have a night with her she refused. so he blackmailed her .he threatened her . then treat her like a literal fucking pet. I realised I am not into pet play tbvh. he was an asshole in the whole book . he swaped her pills and got her pregnant. treat her like shit. fucking behaving like a child. there was no maturity from this guy. it was a total shit book . I didn’t like anything going on in the book. also the degration was so bad . he literally address her as bitch. so ridiculous. horrible book.

Actually scratch that, I know exactly what I expected: terrible writing, characters with a personality of a paper cutout and fucked up kinky sex - that's the tradeoff, there aren't many mainstream kinky stories, so you take what you get.

And it started on par for the course. But then... the kinky sex stopped and what was left was the MC trying to improve himself and zero sex of any kind. So that left just the terrible writing (no, I mean it, like wow terrible)... Why? Just... stay in your lane.

Much better than recent books. I liked that he was take charge alpha and that she resisted as first. I loved that he messed with her bc. I am not personally into pet kink And I hated that he called her b**ch. it was a great book but personally would have loved it if it was abdl or ddlg not pet play. Pet play just is not my thing but I’ll respect that that is someone’s else’s kink and could read the book trying to be open minded so I would give it 3 stars for someone who is into pet kink.

couldn’t put the book down

I was blown away by not only the storyline but the characters themselves. I’m not sure when was the last time I was so hooked in but I loved every single dark piece of it. I was beyond excited when you shared the prologue a couple months ago.

Umm you know how needy and greedy I am, so I’m going to need a book for Dr. Dom, Grayson, and uncle Charles!!!!!!

Ugh…I’m not even into “puppy play”, how do I keep running into this weird genre? So the story was a little crazy but entertaining enough, thus the two stars. I am not sure if there are language differences since this is written by a Scottish writer, but the grammar is so bad, in my opinion. Lots of incomplete sentences and periods where they should be commas. Lots of sentences don’t have a subject. I also didn’t really like the focus on breeding so much.

Lots of smut

If your looking for tons of smut scenes this is it. I did enjoy Aaron's friends they joke around and give him cr*p. One of my favorite parts of the story is the very last when be finds out she's pregnant again and how she's sad that she has to have vanilla sex. 😆 I loved seeing the change in him in the beginning this was just needing to dominate everything and everyone then at the end him actually wanting to love her. It was a good fast read.

Yes, it is a BDSM book, not for everyone. Some trigger warnings would have been nice. Loved the pet play and the 2 narrator/switch viewpoint style. Haven't been sure about the forced breeding and really got confused by the lovely scenes at the doctors office. For quite a few pages I forgot that I'm reading a kink smut book and switched it to Coleen Hoover. Very out of place. Kink parts are great.
