For generations, the town of Latham has been held under the boot of the Comstock family. Alan Comstock is no different from his predecessors, keeping the citizens at bay through murder, rape, and extortion. When Alan and his goons go too far, they attract the attention of a peculiar man… a man with a black dog at his side.
After a beloved teacher is tragically killed, Alan receives a call from his distressed superintendent, notifying him of her a substitute with only one name… Talia!
Will Alan’s reign of terror continue, or will the corruption and murder end with the slash of a razor?
Look at that KillerBunny on the cover of the latest Daniel Volpe story!
So much lube…um, blood…and smut may make you want to steer clear of this gory, extreme novella. I know your standards are so much higher than that. Just go ahead, feast your eyes on something more worthy.
And then you can go to https://www.djvhorror.com/?utm_source... and order this in secret – he won’t tell anyone, you can trust him – and read it when nobody is watching and judging you for enjoying it.
Because Talia is back, and she is about to bring vengeance upon the worthy like she is channeling Samuel L. Jackson motherfuckers!
I was looking forward to reading this book, after reading the first book “Talia”, and “Billy Silver”, where Talia makes an appearance as a tattooist. She is one beautiful, blood thirsty BADASS, Queen of the Switchblade, and she rocks 🤘🏼
This story centres around Latham, a town run by the abhorrent, power hungry, High School Principal, Alan Comstock, who’s family have controlled the town for generations. Rape, bullying, murder and extortion are just some of the nefarious deeds he uses to control the townsfolk.
One of the female teachers, is involved in a fatal car accident, and Talia is just the perfect person to replace her…exacting her own brand of beautiful, bloody vengeance on the evil scum of Latham.
I really liked this sequel, but the first book will always have that “WOW” factor for me…nevertheless I highly recommend it.
4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you to my gorgeous sisters, MadameD and Janie who joined me for this Buddy Read 😘❤️😘🖤
While not as tantalizing to me as the the author's previous books involving the gutsy Talia, I still enjoyed this bloody, tasty recipe of revenge. I'm looking forward to seeing if there will be a vengeful Talia 3. Slash on, you demagogue.
Many thanks to Leeanne and MadameD for the buddy read! 💗💗
TALIA 2 HALLS OF BLOOD BY DANIEL J. VOLPE MY REVIEW 4.5 STARS OUT OF 5.0
Ever notice how you come across somebody once in a while you shouldn't have fucked with? That's me. Clint Eastwood as Walt Kowalski -- Gran Torino
Talia is given a new assignment in this action-packed, thoroughly worthy sequel. The Comstock family have gotten away with murder for generations. Everything has to end sometime, doesn’t it? Alan Comstock and his minions finally are godless enough to appear on the radar of a very peculiar enforcer, a dark man with a black dog at his side.
When the goons murder a cherished teacher to satisfy their lust for tyranny, the superintendent is informed that a substitute teacher will be arriving and her name is “Talia.”
Hell, hath no fury like Talia with a switchblade, or with no manmade weapons for that matter! This was a quick, exciting read, and I really enjoyed it.
I rated this just behind the original because the birth of Talia in the first book following her lowdown murder by the ringleaders in a filthy smut film enterprise was like karma rose from the ashes. She died and was reborn out of the fire. The original is the gold standard. Her vengeance was more organic, more spontaneous, and more mind-blowing. In this sequel she reminded me of Randi and Rush, BIG kitties, and they love playing with their food before they rip its throat out.
Her eyes burned red, like the fires of Hell. Like the flames of vengeance.
Talia is probably my favourite character and so when I saw there was a 2nd book I was extremely excited. Talia 2 did not disappoint! This book was filled with depraved, horrifying characters that Talia took out expertly one by one, like the Queen she is honestly.
I hope that Volpe continues this series and that she continues to make appearances in his other books. Truly the most badass character out there in the extreme horror world. This was a lot of fun, filled with back to back gore. Vile characters, disturbing content and brutal murders. I wouldn’t recommend this read for someone easily triggered but you wouldn’t be reading book 2 if you were let’s be honest!
Talia is the antihero the world needs. A sexy sadistic demon that delivers vengeance with claws and a straight razor. Volpe has a way of immersing the reader in a world full of blood, gore and depravity, but the story pushes that to the background to let the characters and plot shine through. More Talia please!
I think I became slightly desensitized to the violence and gore after the first book, which is wild. The family's scene was rough to read though.
Hand in hand with the extreme volatility of the story was a good plot, and this second volume was just as fast paced as the first. It kept me hooked. I'm glad to see that there's a possibility of more Talia in the future.
Daniel Volpe is one of my favorite authors, so every book he writes is an instant buy for me and automatically moves to the top of my tbr list. His writing is so great and unique that I could pick up one of his books without looking and know right away it was his just by the writing style. We met Talia back in Billy Silver and I have been following her ever since. This book had great characters, some I loved, and some I loved to hate, as well as a rich storyline. I would definitely recommend this book. If you like revenge stories with some gore, or just a kickass female lead, then you will probably loves this book. Talia is the badass we all want to be.
Another nasty and bloody read from Danuel J. Volpe! I love how this book/series isn't just about the "splatterpunk" and gore, but has revenge themes in it. These people got what they deserved! Loved it!
Well now I don't know which I loved more; this one or the first. Talia is back dishing out more vengeance on a town run by some of the lowest scum of the earth. And let me tell you, it is extremely satisfying to read what she does to them. Another book filled with so much gore. A must read for those of you who love extreme horror and splatterpunk. Avoid if you're squeamish.
Talia is back and she's more horny. Excuse me. Hungry than ever.
Daniel Volpe is one of the only author that make me like surnatural in my Splatterpunk. Blood and extreme content back to back. Would have liked more pages, more description, but still awesome.
Immediately after reading book 1 I had to start reading book 2! This book did not disappoint at all! We follow her as she visits a small town corrupted by individuals that prey on townsfolk by getting their way. All of that is about to change because Talia is in the building delivering justice in her own sick way. I absolutely love the story development and characters. I finished this book in a day so this is a good and quick read. This book touches every trigger so if you have any I would recommend you read this book with a great caution.
Wow! This one took awhile before Talia made her presence but we needed to get to know the characters and community before-hand to really build the plot and overall storyline. Daniel J. Volpe knocked it out of the park with this sequel. 🙌
Talia 2 is even more brutal and twisted than the first. 😵😱Talia is 100% that savage badass bitch😈👊 the kills were packed with gore and completely satisfying to the core😮💨 The “victims” Talia is after in this story are some truly AWFUL people. I had a lot of fun reading this one!
Talia is back! And when I say she's back she really means business the second time around. Non stop chaos and extreme horror aplenty as you hurtle down the tracks of this runaway train with no brakes. A myriad of horrendous characters ripe for some sweet bloody revenge from our hirsute femme fatale, so strap in!
Talia 2 was well worth the wait. The cover is beautiful. Talia becomes a teacher at a school to take down some very bad guys. I really hope this becomes a trilogy.
Talia 2: Halls Of Blood was one of my most anticipated releases of 2023, and Volpe didn't disappoint. One of the best Anti-heros of splatterpunk is back with her razor and passion for punishment. This was an awesome follow up to the first that will not disappoint the fans!
Hell have no fury... Talia 2 had a much different feel from the first book but was just as enjoyable. Almost a fucked up superhero book with the OP Talia bringing the vengeance. Great fun, nasty characters, and all the blood and gore you'd expect. A great read from the extremely consistent and brilliant Daniel J Volpe.
"She was the bait in a pool of sharks, but they didn’t know she was the most dangerous thing in the waters."
What a bunch of sickos they made me so mad and turned my stomach but I knew they were gonna get it!! Love to read about Talia cleaning up the filth, very cathartic. The kill with the severed head was nuts! And the ending has me guessing there will be another Talia book! I am hoping to learn more about the origins of the man who turned Talia!
Talia's back in an intense, fast paced, gross ick fest. Daniel Volpe lived up to his readers high expectations of Talia, and leaves the story open for more.
Super fun, short and bloody read! I felt it was a great sequel to the first book, it wasn’t quite as gritty and extreme as Talia, but it was still extreme. I love all of Daniel’s works, great job following up on Talia, and I’m stoked to see her work is not yet over!
Talia is back again and been summoned to the shady town of Latham. This small town is corrupted by a man and his various henchmen keeping the citizens in line by using fear, murder, destruction and blackmail among other things. From a high school principal, to teachers, to students to firemen, these men think they are untouchable. Now Talia is here to make sure these people pay the ultimate price for their devious, unforgivable behavior.
I felt like this book had better writing than the first. There were more characters to learn about and we knew Talia’s story already. It took awhile before she became a main part of the story but you knew she was on the hunt the entire time.
Still depraved, sickening, gruesome and gory! Plenty of good kills. Plenty of female rage. This time set in a small corrupt town run by ego ridden fools who meet a grisly end thanks to Talia. She is still doing the world a favor by killing those who deserve it.
I just love Talia. This sequel is full of blood, guts, violence and abuse yet it was addictive to read! What an awful town full of disgusting people! This one took a little while to amp up but when it did, it really got messy!
I really hate to say it but Talia 2 wasn’t as good as the original. Can’t believe I’d be writing that sentence after seeing the glorifying reviews for this sequel. Let me explain why I was disappointed:
Book 1 had a real strong story. You had main protagonists and antagonists. You had suspense, buildup, and a climax. You had an insane twist. Then you had a batshit crazy finale.
Book 2 didn’t hit on many things the original did well. The novel starts off showing how fucked up these villains are and then Talia comes to kill them with an abrupt ending. The whole book relies on making the villains look really bad before they meet their demise - but here’s the thing. These villains were completely unbelievable. Instead of representing very evil manipulative villains, the antagonists here seemed very comic bookish and over the top. The school principal got away with everything with whoever he wanted to. It got so ridiculous, I wouldn’t have been surprised if the President of the United States and the FBI were all working for and scared of this high school principal.
Even though they’re roughly the same length, Book 2 felt like half the size of the original. It read like a bunch of shocking shit from evil people then bam the deaths come. I will give the author credit on making these villains very very and I mean very hatable. So good job there Mr. Volpe.
I loved this book; it gave me the same feelings I had reading the first Talia. However, I have one personal opinion that not a lot of people might agree with. I was a little taken aback as to how she ended up in a school as a teacher when she started out as a porn star. I understand HOW we got there, and I love the flow once we arrive; I just don't see the realisticness behind the path travelled from A to B. That would be my only quam if you will.
HOWEVER, I still fu**ing loved this book, genuinely. The sex scenes were really on point; the gore and violence was insane, and Talia herself was a machine that couldn't be stopped, slowed down, or prevented. Retrobution was sought and found. Everyone of the assholes in this book got what they deserved, and then some!
Im genuinely excited to read the third one, cause I know it's going to be a bomb!
