About the author

Margit Sandemo was a Norwegian-Swedish historical fantasy author. She has been the best-selling author in the Nordic Countries since the 1980s, when her novel series of 47 books, The Legend of the Ice People, was published. She has also written many other book series such as Häxmästaren and Legenden om Ljusets rike.

Niegdyś była to moja ulubiona część SoKŚ. Jednak teraz widzę jak bardzo irytującą bohaterką jest Elena, a wiedząc jak się potoczą dalej ich losy, nie mogę już kibicować Elenie i Jaskariemu.
Strażnicy i Obcy, tacy dobroduszni i mądrzy, a jednak hipokryci z całą ich filtracją. Rozumiem, że siłą napędową trzeciej sagi jest stworzenie eliksiru, który ma naprawić ludzkość, ale czy naprawdę zamiast skazywać głównego antagonistę na śmierć, nie mogli go zamknąć w jakimś więzieniu, żeby czekał na eliksir?
Przy trzecim tomie zaczynam zauważać pompatyczność z jaką jest to napisane/przetłumaczone. Dlatego daję cztery, a nie pięć gwiazdek.

Elen...A girl who has trouble saying no, she falls for any guys who shows her even the slightest bit of interest and is nice to her. She feels ugly and big compared to her friends and other girls. She always does what she is told to do. Her attitude will have consequences.

I really enjoyed this book. I'm sure that most people can relate to Elen one way or another.

The plot itself was a bit predictable but enjoyable nevertheless. A murderer did bring some spice to the story. Not sure what to think about the ending, I don't think that it will change much.
