I got this book while it was free on Amazon, and as sad as this sounds I wanted to read it for the cheating aspect of it. I guess it was an off week for me because it is usually not a subject I gravitate toward, but I did with this one.

Immediately I felt for Devin, he was just trying to get his wife back. I also felt for Avonte, she didn't deserve what her husband did to her either. I actually wanted the two of them together, and to hell with Devin's wife. I was thrilled when they actually broke down and slept together.

Then bam, out of the blue a different point of view starts the next chapter. I was confused and actually went back to the home screen on my Kindle to make sure I hadn't opened another book by accident. A little bit better introduction of the character, maybe show her meeting Avonte and Devin before you just throw us into her back story, I don't know.

And I almost put the book down and flounced it. The abrasive language that Qianna used and then the lackluster sex scenes (too mechanical and scripted sounding) almost sent me packing. ALMOST!

Spoiler Alert*********

Then when Qianna agreed to kill Devin's wife, well I had to see how it all played out. I had to see if he caved before she carried the deed out. I had to know if Qianna got caught, if she took the rap or if Devin was named in it. I had to know...so I kept reading.

I have to say that the ending wasn't as great as I hoped for, but still a good job for making me stay when everything in me screamed drop the book and move on. I gave the book an overall 3 stars.

When I purchased this book from the author, he told me "to be careful.. It's HOT!!" And he was right.
The twist surprised me.
