Continuation Of A Well Written Story
So glad I found this story and started with Book 1. This is the journey of three sisters whom each had their own path taking them to where they are today. Inexplicable occurrences leading them to unlocking their magic and learning they are legacy witches. Alys with the power of nature, Maeve is the enchantress and Siobhan (or Sibby) can transport and usually creates ingenious potions and spells with the help of her sisters at times. While these are their powers, they have human talents that speak to their strength and fortitude.
In this story, the sisters are invited to a Fae ball by Andreas, the Fae King and Sebastian's brother whom would like to celebrate the changes they’ve brought to the Fae world. Andreas also stated Gwendolyn, his wife whom the sister's were able to release from a prison of sorts, requested a way to make peace overtures with the other factions and suggested the sisters would help spearhead such an endeavor.
It should be noted that each chapter is titled with the character of focus making the transition and story very smooth and well written. You'll learn more of Sebastian and his tortured past while in this realm and the struggles each sister contends with once they learn their magic is no longer accessible. Was it Mercy, the woman with the quills on her face offering them drinks in pewter goblets? Was it the General? During their time in the Fae realm, Maeve is called to duty to continue her training with the Granny Woman, another very mysterious and wondrous character, as a magical mid-wife. Events transpire that forces these strong women to make choices using their minds and physical traits without their magic.
This story is difficult to share without spoilers and will add there is much contained within it. The Magic School brought to existence by Alys, her mate Brock, the love they all share and the challenges they work to overcome those challenges. Every character is vital, important and have a roll in the story including the new, perhaps magical chef at the school.
This is a mature story, well written and highly suggested. Cannot wait for more from Jennifer L Hart.
