1. Birdy is very funny:
She says a lot of silly and random things in her diary. Sometimes she complains about everything, but it actually makes the story fun to read.
2. It is written like a diary:
The whole book is Birdy writing about her life every day. It feels like you are reading her private thoughts, which makes it more interesting.
3. Birdy does not want to get married:
Her dad keeps trying to make her marry different men, but she really does not want to. She comes up with funny and weird plans to scare them away.
4. The story is not boring:
Even though it takes place a long time ago, there is always something going on in her life.
5. You learn about the past:
The book shows what life was like in the Middle Ages, like doing chores, following strict rules, and how girls had less freedom.
6. Birdy is brave:
She does not always listen to what people tell her to do if she thinks it is wrong. She tries to make her own choices.
7. The characters are interesting:
Her family, friends, and the men who want to marry her are all different and sometimes funny or annoying.
8. Some parts are relatable:
Even though it is set a long time ago, Birdy still complains about things like being bored or annoyed, which feels kind of real.
9. It shows real problems:
The book talks about serious things like being forced into marriage, but it still keeps a light and funny tone.

My Thoughts:
I liked this book because it was funny and easy to read. Birdy is a strong and interesting character, and I liked how she tried to control her own life. The diary style made it feel more real. Some parts were a little slow, but most of the time it kept my attention.
