Sweet and fluffy relationship, but I feel lied to by the synopsis that promised a one-sided high school crush, parting on bad terms and remaining apart for years, then reuniting when the MC is orphaned and penniless. Instead the actual story is about them having a mutual, loving relationship in high school that will last into adulthood.

There's also some author biases I don't love, such as making up lies about other countries to make China better by comparison, and making the ML too much of a "rural poor guy is strong but too stupid to understand basic society and manners" cliche and never letting him actually learn despite supposedly being a genius.

It's not bad but I feel like I've read for a long time and it hasn't really gone anywhere or done much of anything, either.
