USA TODAY bestselling author Stephanie Bond was seven years deep into a systems engineering career and pursuing an MBA at night when an instructor remarked that she had a flair for writing and suggested that she submit to academic journals. But Stephanie, a voracious reader, was only interested in writing fiction–more specifically, romantic fiction.

Upon completing her master’s degree and with no formal training in writing (her undergraduate degree is in computer programming), she started writing a romance novel in her spare time. Two years later in 1995 she sold her first manuscript, a romantic comedy, to Harlequin Books.

In 1997, with ten sales under her belt to two publishers, Stephanie left her corporate job to write women’s romantic fiction full-time. In 2011,

Stephanie launched a self-publishing business. Since that time, she has sold more than 1 million copies of her own books. To-date, Stephanie has published over 70 novels and has over 6 million copies of her work in worldwide distribution in numerous languages and formats.

A simple story. It's about Georgia who decided to heat things up with boyfriend and had a phone sex. Little did she know that she had dialed wrongly and was enjoying orgasms on the phone with a hot policeman Ken instead. Ken couldn't thanked his lucky star enough that he actually met Georgia the next day and last night wasn't some random prank played on him.

Things picked up and got more interesting when Ken actually anticipated the nightly phone sex. But little did he know that while was on the phone with him where he was pretending to be , she was in fact fantasizing about . Like I said, a simple story really.

I so completely loved it!! Very much predictable but still an enjoyable read.

Nurse Georgia Adams isn't really satisfied with the way her relationship with Rob is going. Thinking to heat up thing between them, late one night she calls him. After all, phone sex may be the thing to finally force him into a more sexual relationship. But she dialed the wrong number!

Officer Ken Medlock was quite surprised by his midnight caller. He knows he should inform her that he's not her boyfriend, but he simply doesn't do it. And when he meets her the next day, he knows he should do whatever he can to win her over.

The premise sounded interesting (if completely unbelievable) and I decided to give the book a shot. Unfortunately I didn't like it that much.

Georgia was annoying me with her indecision when it came to Rob and Ken and which one she should choose. Ken should have told her the truth, it was bound to come out sooner or later.

But I liked Ken's dog Crash (or something like that, the name escapes me right now). :-)

Another enjoyable read from Stephanie Bond. Like most of her books, this one was quite humourous. The only part of the book I struggled with, was how hard Georgia worked and focused on a dud relationship, that at best was a friendship. *Overall, a good story.

🌶️ 3/5

Georgia and Ken were fun to read about, fun cute couple. Ken is kind of a creep in the way that only rose tinted glasses make it cute, low key kind of a loser. Georgia on the other hand, girl was a little thristy (but so are you for reading a 20+ year old smut). Kinda spicy for the time but nothing too explicit, just references to how their feeling in the moment no explicit depictions. The prologue and epilogue really tie the story together Ms.Bond was truly ahead of her time.

Scorching! Fiery! Searing! Blistering! Sizzling! How do we spell the incomparable Stephanie Bond's, Too Hot to Sleep? C-a-l-i-e-n-t-e!

Let me start off this review by saying, Stephanie Bond is one of my absolute favorite authors. She can write anything & it is juicy, riveting & difficult to put down. Bond's books are like chocolate ~ a delicious, wicked pleasure! I keep a stash of her books around for emergencies sorta like breaking the glass moments. Bond is definitely a must read author, an auto buy & the girl to go to when I am in a reading slump or just in a petulant mood.

Stephanie Bond is a gifted writer who not only has a way of making you fall in love w/ the hero -- Bond makes you ache to be the heroine.

Meet Nurse Georgia Adams. Georgia is in an apathetic relationship w/ her boyfriend. She definitely needs a dose of sultry to bring the sexy back. Georgia decides to take the advice of a friend & calls her lukewarm boyfriend late @ night & begins what she believes is a way to make their relationship pop... some harmless, tantalizing phone sex. What she doesn't realize is that her calls have been going to the wrong man. Uh oh! Can we say whoops?!

Enter sexy Officer Ken Medlock, Ken is awakened by a sensuous voice on the phone... a voice that's cooing to him that she isn't wearing panties. Ken is jolted wide awake by this juicy tidbit. He's extremely overwhelmed by this seductive call & is too bewildered to enlighten the smokin' femme fatale that she's dialed a wrong number. Let's not forget, he is absolutely loving every single moment of this mix up.

I don't want to ruin your fun @ reading this charming romance by giving away too much. I will say I would love a sequel...

Psst! I am even willing to bribe the awesome Bond w/ delectable chocolates. *Hint*Hint*.

Bond's writing muscle simply radiates w/ her vivacious, intriguing & feisty characters. She is a genius @ displaying each character's viewpoint. Brava to Bond for making the heroine & hero easy to connect with. The sparks ignite & Georgia & Ken explode. Boom Boom Pow!!!

You definitely need to cool yourself down w/ lots of ice water, the a/c or just head out into the frigid air to cool down. Trust me on this ;-p

Too Hot to Sleep is definitely a must to have on your shelves.

I love the premise of this book. Georgia calls the wrong number and ends up having phone sex with a stranger instead of her boyfriend. She doesn't know that she programmed her speed dial incorrectly, so she keeps calling the same number and the caller never clues her in. Ken is a police officer and after the first call he meets Georgia by chance and really wants to know her more but doesn't know how to tell her about the phone calls. This book is interesting enough that I've read it twice now. I like the interactions between Ken and Georgia although at some point it does get uncomfortable that Ken doesn't fess up and Georgia never looks into why her boyfriend doesn't sound right. But the thing that really bothers me is right at the end of the book. Georgia's father had affairs while she was growing up and she thinks she's inherited his overly high, rampant sex drive. She doesn't want to commit to someone she feels passionate towards because if she lets that passion out it'll spill out everywhere and she'll start having sex with anyone she can. But when she finally mentions her father's affairs to her mother, her mother tells her "I never liked sex so it was inevitable that your father stray". The light bulb goes off for Georgia then and now everything is ok because it wasn't her father's fault. That completely rubs me the wrong way. She even goes so far as to rationalize that her mom broke her vows first by not being interested enough in sex. Maybe that was an acceptable answer when this book was written but it just doesn't cut it for me. Mom was hurt, Dad didn't intend to do it but just couldn't help it, so that makes it ok. It just leaves me with a bad taste after reading the book. I like the writing and I like the story, but I just can't get over that.

Cute story about a somewhat inhibited heroine who decides to spice up her relationship with her boyfriend by using phone sex. She a tad bit nervous about doing something so much out of her comfort zone, but it went so well, she's looking forward to the next time. The only problem is she dialed the wrong number and got Ken, a handsome cop, instead. We he meets Georgia at the ER (where she works as a nurse) the next day, Ken figures out that Georgia is the woman from the phone and can't wait to get to know her better.

I got a bit tired of Georgia's almost obsessive concerns about what her boyfriend and others would think of her for initiating and especially enjoying phone sex. I could rationalize it in my head knowing what her perceptions were of her parents' relationship, but it drove me crazy! I loved how Ken thought he was a player with no desire to settle down, but the minute he realized he wanted Georgia, he didn't second guess himself much and went for it. For a Blaze title, this story was really tame, really more warm than sizzling hot. B rating.

Lots of heat and the tension grows as Georgia tries to get Rob involved in their relationship. That she had to work this hard should have been a red flag. Loved the reminder of the phone set-up difficulties. Ken was in the right places T the right times, lucky guy. Plot was fun to read as it unfolded. Stephanie Bond fiction, ready for more.

Enjoyed a story written a little different than most romcoms today

There was only one thing I didn’t really like and it was the excuse for Georgia’s father’s affairs. Honestly wanted to dnf after reading that but I was already too far into it. Truthfully I think that should bring it down to 3 stars but felt that was too harsh.

Too Hot To Sleep had the premise that should have worked so well and made me fall in love with it BUT it left me cold and ready for sleep I had to force myself to finish reading the whole book. Not my any means one of Stephanie Bonds best books. :-(

I really liked the story in this book. I had a real laugh when the main character realized she had been having phone sex with the wrong person. What is a woman to do...... You'd have to read the book to know how horrible it was. Humiliating doesn't begin to describe how she felt......

Stephanie Bond - Amazing

This is probably the 20th book of Stephanie’s books that I’ve read and I love them all. Every single one of them. I’ve read 75 books this year and just about to start another one of her books. I highly recommend any book she has written.
