Worried Arthur - The Birthday Party, is a fun and colurfull book about a penguin named Arthur who keeps worrying about his upcoming birthday party. Arthur has to decide what sort of party he would like; but this doesn't turn out to be the easiest task for Arthur as each idea turns out to be a problem. Will Ben burst all the ballons? Will dad perfom his terrible magic tricks? Or could it just turn out to be a fun filled birthday party for Arthur with lots of surprises?
I really like this book as it is amusing for young children, and it also encourages them to use thier imagination. There are lots of colourful and detailed pictures throughout, which I feel children will love.
I feel that this book is aimed at young children aged 3+ and would ideally be suited to be read to children in a reception class at primary school, where it could be read to the class on a childs birthday or when the class are learning about different celebrations.
