Amanda Young

A bestselling author of erotic romance, Amanda Young penned her first romance at eighteen. That novel was promptly deleted before it could traumatize innocent readers. After several years of honing her craft, Amanda went on to receive her first publishing contract in 2006.

A vivid imagination and a passion for all the things that go bump in the night has led Amanda to create provocative stories that push boundaries and dare readers to expand their comfort zones. Since she tends to write whatever strikes her fancy, her novels fall into many different subgenres. Among her available titles you’ll find contemporary and paranormal settings, gay and straight themes alike.

Amanda Young lives in Virginia with her husband, daughter, and two pampered pooches. When she’s not writing, she can usually be found chasing after a mischievous toddler or daydreaming about the characters in her next book. She loves to hear from her readers, and can be found on Facebook and Twitter. Her website, www.amandayoung.org, is where you can find up-to-date information on all of Amanda’s current and upcoming releases.

Dominic & Mason comfortably continue their uber-taboo affair, which they began in Tempestuous Relations. But they soon realize that society may not be ready for their sort of bond. Maybe in certain cosmopolitan parts of the world LOVE is LOVE, but if you live in a dirt-water, tobacco-chewin' gossipy town it just may get one or both of you killed.

Tempestuous Revelation is the perfect compliment to its predecessor. Both heavy on sex, but '...Revelation' ramps up the tension brilliantly and believably. It also made me wonder why certain consenting adult relationships enrage people so, when truth be told, they should really just mind their own business. If I had to offer a complaint, its that the two tales should have been combined into one.

All in all, the first one made me hot; and while equally salacious, this one made me a little sad pondering Dominic & Mason's possibilities.

I'll be looking forward to another in this series. I'm hopelessly hooked now. Thanx, Amanda. ;-)~

Great, although short, continuation to the Tempestuous Relations, dealing with agression from the close-minded townfolks towards the brothers, which at the end drives them out of their hometown. While sad the story still leaves a positive feeling of the new life beginning for the brothers.

The shit hits the fan when a friend blabs to the entire town that Dom and his twin brother Mason are shagging. Some friend! Wouldn't he have talked to his mate first? Asked him if it was true?

The boys are left ostracised and unemployed and decide to relocate. That makes me happy, but I want to know what happens to them next!

Okay, so I have identified a bit of the problem since this series re-read started. The books in this series are written from both Dom & Mason's POVs but the first instalment in this series was primarily from Dom's POV. In this one, the POV is split more evenly between the two and, I have a clear preference for Mason's POV.

When the sex is written from his POV it tends to be more emotional and sensual while sex written from Dom's POV still reads as a little too clinical.

I don't know how I didn't notice this the first time around, probably because my brain couldn't comprehend anything beyond how illicit reading this story felt, but Dom & Mason don't seem to have much of a relationship outside of what is already established by the first two instalments of this series. Considering they are identical twins we hardly learn more about their relationship as brothers and for me, that is stealing away from the intimacy of their actions.

This instalment also introduces significant plot points and they didn't serve any purpose besides taking space away from erotic scenes in your specifically intended-to-be erotica series.

Only slightly better than the previous book because it had some real world consequences sneak up on them and kick the twins in the ass. I liked that. Means they have to work at being happy and finding what fits them best.

Still no in depth discussion of their attraction or "why" they love each other the way that they do; nothing that felt like it explained the reason they would risk everything to be together the way that they are. Or why they are willing to give up what they've grown up with, the lives they've come to know, even where they live...to stay a couple.

Hopefully the third book clears it up. *finger crossed* Of course, I'm not even sure where to get it since it's been banned from several online booksellers. Hypocrites will peddle horribly written and irresponsible straight smut - and some GOD AWFUL gay smut - both of which push the bounds of acceptable (e.g.: GRAPHIC RAPE scenes) but a little brother-lovin' is a no-no. ::EyeRoll:: It's not like there is inbreeding or any chance of fucked up offspring.

Only with a handful of authors, that I'm willing to venture to themes I don't usually like, examples: twincest. I like the first book -- since it has a touch of angst in in, which reminds me of a short movie called "Star-crossed" that I watched. This one, let's just say, a little bit more predictable. Once their relationship is out in the open, of course there's going to be uproar. So I think the ending is also one thing I see coming from a mile. Doesn't mean that the story is bad though, I still love Amanda Young's writing.

OMG!! Poor guys! What kinda friend would do that? Ok yes it is taboo and a little out there but who cares? It's not like they're doin it in front if your kids. What they do in their house is no one's business.
Anyway, I hope there's another book. I really want to know what happens.

This one just fell short for me. While I'm all for twincest and what Dom and Mason have, I believe that the people in town would have been much more harsh.
