Years ago, when our first child was born, I wanted to get an overview of the baptism issue from both the Baptist and Reformed point of view. This book puts forward the Baptist point of view. I can understand their arguments, but having heard the full argument from both sides, I still can't fully agree with it.
Still, you can't argue with (or for) what you don't understand, so worth a read if you're trying to cover off both sides of the argument.
This is a pretty solid book to give someone who wants to study the basics of baptism. It's from a credobaptist perspective. At some points, it could be a bit more convincing, but overall it makes a good, simple biblical case for the credobaptist position.
