An eye opening and delightful read. I enjoyed learning about the history of kilts, and learning what a well fitting kilt looks like is going to absolutely ruin any future Highland Games I go to, haha. I'd recommend this book to anyone with an interest in kilts.

Fascinating and full of practical and arcane information about kilts and tartans! I stumbled across this while researching how to shorten a pleated skirt, which is NOT, BTW, a kilt, but a kilt skirt. I will probably never make a kilt, but I enjoyed reading about the techniques nevertheless. The Art of Kiltmaking is written with patience and humor by two people who obviously love the culture and traditions associated with Scotland, kilts and kilt making. Oh, and I did find some useful information about shortening my skirt!
