Millbrae, Poor Souls Press, 2009. Signed, limited broadside of Paul Fericano's satirical poem "Sinatra, Sinatra", for which he famously awarded himself, in 1982 when the poem was written, the "Howitzer Prize", a hoax-ish act of satire itself, but one which caused more than 500 writers/publishers to request applications (from the "Howitzer Prize Committee") for the 1983 award - which of course would be non-existent. This is one of several broadsides done for that poem, this being Series Four, and it is number 49 of the signed and numbered edition of 100. Signature done with a silver sharpie, looks somewhat blue-ish on the beige paper (see scan). 10 1/2" x 8 1/2", blue ink on beige paper. Fine; flawless. A bit of poetry history. L-5000-4
