Highballs High Heels: A Girls Guide to the Art of Cocktails

Rate this book
The authors of Atomic Cocktails strike again, this time with a feminine twist. Highballs High Heels combines '50s cocktail party nostalgia with career girl independence. Order up a Bikinitini when you're feeling sassy, get naughty with a cool Gin and Sin, or a Shirley Temple's Evil Twin, for those times when you just want to be left alone. And for girls with "inner" spirit, there's an entire chapter devoted to nonalcoholic drinks. In addition to the 50 fabulous swizzle-stick sensations and an essential essay on women and the art of drinking with style, this guide is also bursting with hip party-planning ideas for cocktail soirées, dinners, and summer bashes, including a how-to section for setting up a swanky bar at home. Highballs High Heels is perfect for any woman longing to release her hidden grrrlll.

OK, i just did some really intense Bikram yoga, alright?! So now i can totally lounge about on my porch in my silk dressing gown, kickin it my fuzzy toe-ed high heels, a "Boy Toy Martini" in one impeccably manicured paw, casually perusing my little black book for a weekend date, with a variety of deliciously glossy lady magazines scattered about. Life is good.

I loved this book! I found it while thrifting and paid a whopping $1 for it.

In August I have a girls’ trip and I picked this up to get new ideas.

It is written in a fun manner that made me grin. The tone is sassy and feminine.

There are several cocktails to try but I am really eager to make the Brazilian Sugarcane Coffee Shake.

This is just a fun little book for your coffee table. If you're looking for a fun new cocktail to make for night-in with the girls, this may just be the book. Recipes like Getting Layered, Rx for PMS, Chocolate-Mint Hormone Therapy, Boy Toy Martini, or Anti-Super Bowl Party.
