A moderate overview of Marxism and a comparison to Christianity. It's very much a book of its time. Unlike other books on the issue, this book does feel to be trying to assess two metanarratives against each other. It is quite interesting to read about Marx's life and how Latin America swung to Liberation Theology.
this book does 2 things very well. In 189 pages, it 1. serves as a good biography of Marx and 2. analyses Marx’s idea and how it is compatible and incompatible with a christian perspective. highly recommend.
