Tracey West is my favorite writer for Pokemon. He is just great.

This was a cute, short story about a special formula made using Shuckle that make Pokemon fall in love with you!

It's good for budding readers, set in easy to understand paragraphs.

I am hosting a pokemon day at my local library and I thought this book would make for a quick and fun storytime read. This book is adorable, as a pokemon fan that remembers watching the first movie in theaters and the show on TV this book brought back memories.

If your patrons love Pokemon, then this is a good easy reader for them, even though purchasing it will make librarians cringe. One day, Ash, Brock, and Misty meet an old man named Old Man Shuckle. He creates a rare juice that makes Pokemon easier to train and catch after they drink it. He sends our heroes out to catch a rare blue Shuckle so he can get the juice out of its shell. However, Team Rocket catches first! Jessie drinks the juice, and all of the Pokemon fall in love with her.
The text is white and large, which make it easy to read against the full color pages. The illustrations are the biggest disappointment. It is clear that they are just images from the television series that are just printed for this easy reader. They depict the actions that the characters do, which can be helpful. While professionals will dislike this book for it's lack of character development and cheating with by using screen shots from the television show, younger readers will like it for those same reasons. The characters are familiar, and the text is very easy to read. This is recommended as an additional purchase for readers ages 5 to 7. However, if your patrons are demanding more Pokemon tomes, then this would be a recommended purchase.

It's less about Pikachu in love and more about a special potion someone in the Pokemon world makes that makes Pokemon fall in love with you. Kind of creepy if you ask me.

Les images ne sont pas belles. On dirait des photocopies. Il manque une trame à cette histoire qui est un résumé d épisodes.

Crappy pictures, dumb story--but my son loves it! It's a nice Valentine's Day present for him.
