Lucia Raatma has worked in print and online publishing for over twenty years, as a writer and copy editor. She has held roles at G. P. Putnam's Sons and Reader's Digest, and in higher education. She freelances for Penguin Random House and writes children's books for educational publishers, and lives near Richmond, Virginia, with her husband and rescue dog Phoebe.

I was really looking forward to this book and learning more about the woman and the relationship. However, I felt like the writing and information shared was very much censored for lack of a better word and the book felt to more like a political statement.

a young adult book, after spending a week in Morocco, and attending a mosque and loving it, I wanted to read Leap of Faith for the 2nd time. This just whet my appetite as it does seem politically cautious. Having said that, good enough.

I picked this one up by accident. I don't have the copy anymore but here's a sample of the horrendous writing. (abbreviated Biography).

"She attended her own wedding. She wore a simple white gown with her hair down and no make up."

In the books are quotes from "Leap of faith" where the writing style is blatantly superior to this version by Lucia Raatma.

I think it would be helpful to a High School student but I think there should be just as much information on the internet.

I loved this book! It was full of wonderful personal stories. And also gave me a very eye-opening different perspective on the history of the Middle East.
