Trusting to Luck: Growing up in Cambridge, my gap year in the sixties selling papers in Paris, and hitchhiking to Athens

Rate this book
This is the story of how I grew up in Cambridge and spent my gap year achieving my romantic dream of getting a job in Paris and hitchhiking to Greece. Many things could – and did – go wrong on my journey. And, as the account of my childhood will show, I possessed none of the qualities that would recommend me to undertake this adventure, beyond confidence, luck, and the support of tolerant parents.
