Cassandra Robbins is a USA Today, Amazon Top 20, KDP All-star and International bestselling author. She threatened to write a romance novel for years. Having always dreamt of moving to SoCal and attending California University, Alexandrea was not prepared for what she’d find in Brett Powers’ classroom.
Dean Powers is driven, domineering, and the definition of Big Dçik Energy. Which is fine while they're scratching an itch. But when someone catches feelings, the assignment changes.
These Powers men - whew!! Brett did not edge out Jett for me, but I wouldn't kick him out of bed for eating crackers...

⚠️ Warning: This steamy read will leave your panties wet and reaching for BOB.
🚩 Safety Squad: n/a
📣 Type: Rule is a standalone.
🛑 Be Advised: My Goodreads shelves are … explicit in both senses. As such, they could be considered spoiler-y.
Opinion Breakdown The Good: The premise, the potential for angst, the steam.
The Not-So-Good: The ending. Too many unanswered questions left and not enough closure for a "HEA"
The Bad: The lack of development of characters and feelings.
Overall: This was simply smut. Which is fine! It just didn't have that much storyline or development here. So if you're looking for a hot, taboo read - this will probably work for you! It just wasn't my cuppa...
Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is Alexandrea and Brett's story. Alexandrea is starting college and living with her estranged half-sister when she meets Brett, her professor and one of the college deans. Sparks fly as they bump into one another and when she realizes that her half-sister thinks of him as her boyfriend, she tries to stay away. There is a good bit of sexy times and some funny moments...and they get a HFN ending.
Point Of View (POV): This alternated between Alexandrea and Brett's POV.
Overall Pace of Story: Good. I never skimmed and I thought it flowed well.
Instalove: Yes, because I didn't think there was development of feelings
H (Hero) rating: 2.5 stars. Brett. He was alright but I did struggle with his behavior and (seemingly) lack of/desire to feel empathy
h (heroine) rating: 3 stars. Alexandrea. She was alright though I did want her to be stronger to the H's sexual pull
Sadness level: Low, no tissues needed
Push/Pull: Yes
Heat level: Hot. They have some hot tension, chemistry, and scenes -- and I think there was so much of it, it did take away from the story.
Descriptive sex: Yes
OW (Other Woman)/OM (Other Man) drama: Yes
Sex scene with OW or OM: Yes
Cheating: IMO, yes
Separation: Yes
Possible Triggers: Yes
Closure: This ends in an alright place but with what I would call a HFN ending . I had a lot of unanswered questions in the end.
Safety: This one should be either Safe with exception or Not Safe for most safety gang readers depending on personal preferences
Ugh i was so excited about this book and was majorly disappointed. I felt like the FMC was one ball of anxiety, she could barely speak, he had to tell her multiple times to breath (which showed how immature she was), her inner monologue was nothing but how hot she thought he was. It’s like she had no other aspirations or drive. The plot was lacking in my opinion and plot is so important for me even if the book is spicy. The FMC has absolutely no backbone and was extremely annoying. The ending was rushed. He didn’t even have to grovel to get her back. The only positive is the spice was really good (if you can get over how annoying the FMC is) and the author does great dirty talk.
I rarely have issues with age-gap romance, but I found this one a bit uncomfortable. Brett (38) was the professor, and Alex (18) was his student. What in the ever-loving heck has a grown ass man had to do with a freaking teenager? This would've been somehow a little bit acceptable if the heroine was in her twenties.
Brett was a genius college dean, and he had achieved a lot of recognition and awards in his profession. He was so focused on his job, always chasing the next high or the big rush. On the personal aspect, I wouldn't say he was a playboy, but he had an arrangement with women. As such, the half sister of Alex was his previous fuck buddy, and this sister (OW1) thinks that Brett was her boyfriend even though he already ended their setup. He also had another arrangement with his married neighbor (OW2), but this woman at least knows that it was purely transactional.
So Bret sort of embarrassed Alex on the first day of class because she was late; he was the substitute professor in her class. He felt something so strong he hadn't experienced before after looking at her and then objectifying her in his head. It was downright filthy all the things he wanted to do to her—things a professor shouldn't even be thinking about his student. Right there and then, his interest turned into obsession with Alex.
As for Alex, she was weak and a pathetic, horny mess around Brett. Her sister was a witch; that was true, but how can she still sleep with her assumed "boyfriend"? She and her sister might not get along, but it still didn't sit well with me that she didn't care that her sister was Brett's so-called "girlfriend." She was fine stealing her sister's man and not even sorry for it because she was lusting so hard after Brett. Although I know this was all Alex's assumptions and her sister didn't actually mean a thing to Brett, Alex's nonchalance with her sister's "relationship" to Brett grated my nerves.
Also, whenever she gets frustrated, annoyed, or mad, she always yells and screams, totally giving me a picture of a 5-year-old throwing a full-on tantrum. This kind of response certainly killed every plus point that she could've had in my rating for a likeable FMC. She was immature, naive, and bratty.
For the majority of this book, all I felt was a great annoyance. They were both wishy-washy; it was always like one minute they decided what they were doing was forbidden and they had to stop, then another hot minute they were attacking each other like they had been starving for days.
All they ever did was sleep around, and I'm not even sure if they ever had a proper conversation. So the part where they suddenly dropped the love bomb felt so unnatural; it was totally unbelievable on my end. In lust? Definitely. In love? I don't think so; maybe lust was clouding their judgement.
As for the breakup that only lasted for 5 days, I honestly think there was no grovelling that needed to happen. She told him, "I love you," and he didn't say it back, so she ran back to her apartment, which I understood was probably the normal reaction. But then, to be fair with Brett, he was at the top of his profession, and he had a lot of good things going on for him. They were at a very different stage in their lives, and he had to sort out his emotions. So his having all that time and space was helpful and made it all better for him to finally come to terms with how he really felt for Alex. Tbh, what he did and his confession were already enough for me.
Overall, this was an okay read. There was no plot, yet it had some drama. The characters were unlikeable and indecisive most of the time. I have to say their steamy scenes were hot, but not enough to make me rate this higher than 2 stars. This is not for me, but other readers might find this up their alley.
Idk why I keep giving this author a chance when I clearly need to cut her off like a toxic ex…sigh!! I really should’ve known that this one wasn’t gonna be good based off of the last book Power..another disappointment.
First off..please for the love of everything holy..STOP WITH THE VIRGIN HEROINE!!!!! Stop with the virgin taking a big ole dick for the first time with no prep or pain then proceeding to fck like a porn star..ughh!!
Second..honestly this book could’ve been better with better pacing. This author gives no build up ..zero tension. Ok they can have their attractions but let it marinate…give the readers something to look forward to.
Third..the dialogue was so immature. I can expect that maybe from the heroine cuz she’s only 18 but the hero is almost 40 FFS!!
Fourth…now this just might be me being picky but I’m noticing that MMC from LA are corny AF LOL!!
It’s time to give this author back to the world..im done!!
Settle in and be ready to get a little dirty! Brett Powers is just that, powerful like his name suggests. He is vying for the new head dean position and would also be the youngest. That may cause an issue for him when a sweet temptation by the name of Alexandrea walks into one of his classes though. Can he keep his hands to himself or will this forbidden fruit be too hard to resist? 911, what’s your emergency? I think I need the fire department to hose me down! This is a perfect taboo treat and if you’ve read Power then you know these brothers are something else entirely. Enjoy! Told in dual POV
5/5⭐️ 4/5🌶️ 5/5🎧 Brett MF Powers, y’all. 😮💨😮💨😮💨 Dean Powers can teach me a lesson ANY day. From the moment I started this book, I was captivated. If I didn’t have kids and responsibilities, this would have been less than a one day read for me. I DEVOURED it like I wish Dean Powers would devour me. Good lawwwd…This man is so fine. So dirty, brilliantly intelligent, and seductively domineering. He oozes Power, living up to his last name. And as a sapiosexual, he was fucking flawless. And the mouth on that man. I think he gave me braingasms.
Alex was a great fmc, I enjoyed her quirky character. I enjoyed that she was utterly helpless to Brett’s pull on her. I loved that she wanted to submit to him. I loved their banter and loved how he straight up manipulated her into having the time of her life. Brett is an adrenaline junkie and coaxed Alex to be the same way. Jimmy Choo. Nuff said. I freaking died at this part. DIED. We also get cameos from Power (his brother’s book). Which I very much enjoyed.
Anyway, this is a forbidden love story as professors cannot date/have relations with students, so there was lots of sneaking and did I mention he’s an adrenaline junkie? So yeah, he loves to put them in compromising positions (pun intended) that push the line on being caught and risking everything.
What is Brett’s downfall you may be wondering? He doesn’t do love. But will Alex be the one to change all that? What will happen to his career or her education? Guess you’ll have to read it to find out. I highly recommend Rule. The book was so hot. So good. Read it read it read it.
AUDIO REVIEW: I was lucky enough to get an ALC for the audiobook of Rule. It’s duet narration with Angelina Rocca and Corvin King. OMG. It is soooo good! Corvin’s voice oozes sex appeal and gave all the 🐱 flutters. Seriously hot. He did a PERFECT Brett Powers! And Angelina did amazing as well. I enjoyed this audio so much!

DNF@17% - when I read an age gap romance, particularly ones where the hero is an authority figure, I expect to encounter a reluctant hero. I expect some maturity and resistance to an inappropriate attraction. This was not that.
These two are sexing it up in his office just a couple chapters in… and he is ridiculously immature. And she goes from sheltered virgin to full on porn star in the blink of an eye. She of course completely ignores the fact that her sister considers this man to be her boyfriend. 🙄 if nothing else you’d think she’d spare a thought to the fact that he’s had his dirty dick INSIDE HER SISTER… but no. That might make her a little relatable, and we can’t have that. 😵💫
I stopped reading when the 40 yr old “man” (the Dean of students) was encouraging his 19 yr old student (he’s been f*cking) to shoplift… for thrills… and he thinks that he knew she’d be into this sort of the thing the first time she stumbled into his classroom… 👀🙄 Sure thing, bro. You’re an idiot.
I have been reading and loving Cassandra Robbins since her Entitled duet. I loved several of her MC romances, even tho I don’t really like MC romance… but her last few books have just REALLY not been for me. I’m kinda sad about that. Her books used to be angsty and tension filled and now they are just filled with unlikable characters who are immediately screwing… no depth or emotion or tension. It’s a shameful waste of talent, IMO. Another one lost to the lure of OTT TikTok notoriety, instead of just writing a truly compelling story. 😕

Remind me to not get tempted by booktok again thank you👩❤️💋👩
I HATE when heroes are WAYYY too sexual for the heroine. The only thing this hero thought about was the heroine's tight cunt. They just fucked and fucked and fucked and fell in love I hated it I hated it I hated it
Alluring, seductive, and oh so delicious- Rule is a forbidden and erotic treat. Cassandra Robbins continues to deliver on some of my favorite tropes in this sexy and enticing series. Age gap, forbidden power dynamics with a student-teacher dynamic, high spice, an innocent but strong heroine, and a ultra alpha, filthy, and dominant anti-hero lead. Yummy indeed. Cassandra Robbins gleefully breaks all the roles in this sexy, lightly taboo romp. Smut lovers rejoice because spice takes center stage in this steamy page turner.
If you enjoyed Brett’s brother in Power, you’ll definitely love getting baby brother’s story. Brett Powers has of the alpha charisma of his brother, but I found him to be more likable as a hero, he has a bit more tenderness and softness to him, while also still exuding the dominant prowess that make the Powers men so delicious. But like his brother, he’s pretty unapologetic about his desires and pretty quickly gives into an illicit relationship with his young and irresistible engineering student, who also happens to be the stepsister of his ex-lover AND colleague. Yikes.. And I love that most about the Powers men- they are completely aware of every line they cross, and they do it anyways. IN part because of arrogance (they are truly above law, morality), there’s a brash impunity to their lived existence, and it’s a lot of fun to have heroes that are so self-aware yet zestfully grabbing what they want anyways. There is little hesitation or resistance, when they want, THEY WANT. But Brett also had a little bit more charm than his brother before him- he’s witty, he’s fun, and he does have some tenderness with Alex.
Alex is a compelling heroine- in a rough situation with her step-sister and also trying to find her way on her own for the first time, her sexual discovery journey with Brett also intersects with a coming of age tale. I appreciated how she’s a sweet heroine but she’s also got some fire in her- she doesn’t just cowtow to Brett’s demands or moods, which makes her even more irresistible to him. She has a lot more control over him that he does over her- she just has to lean into that power to find her footing. And Brett does fall so deliciously.
This is super spicy, and I loved the heat between these two. Like the last book, the chemistry relied heavily on lust and sexual longing, and I wish that there was a bit more of an emotional connection I felt between these two. Lust turns to love, without a lot of deepening of their dynamic. But I did really love how things ended and the way Cassandra chose to solve the inevitable conflict, including not falling into some of the expected OW drama I anticipated. And, the sexy is definitely delightful- entertaining and oh so tantalizing.
cassandra robbins writes flawed characters into a trope filled plot with short chapters and it is immensely entertaining every time. i always debate dnf’ing in the first 20% because the characters are so ridiculous. but IN THE BEST WAY. so ridiculous you have to love it, or at least be entertained by it.
for this one we get a questionable age gap, an intense case of insta-love that quickly turns into a dom/sub relationship, a third act break up, and a profession of love.
MMC: 48 year old genius professor with an ego as big as his dick. acts like a child. rides a motorcycle. loves peach pie (yes that is an innuendo).
FMC: 18 year old college student. occasionally gives second hand embarrassment. half sister is a bitch (and is also the mmc’s co-worker + ex).
I feel like I’m in a deliciously erotic dream, where I demand my hot professor take my virginity.
Listening to the Audiobook was like experiencing the whole story all over again and it was so freaking worth it! I mean, seriously, the narrators were pure perfection! Brett's voice just had me hooked from the beginning till the end! The CREDIT OMG, Alex was just UHMAZING! and I couldn't get enough. Hashtag obsessed! 😍🎧📚
I could listen to this audiobook in one sitting which I almost did. He growled you guys not kidding. Listening to this at work had me sweating like whore in church HAHA! It didn't feel boring or monotonous! Again AMAZING job Narrators love em. I'll be keeping an eye on their work and add them to my list of fave narrators!
Corvin - Perfect BRETT! Angelina - Was Just GREAT!!! Troy and Lessa- So happy to hear Raven and Jett again!
Cassandra is definitely one of my go-to when it comes to spicy books. She never ceases to amaze me this woman is MAGIC! I love her work and her books and I will definitely go through her books!
I promise you it's worth the audible credit, you won't regret it!!! The audio just intensified the SPICE and it uped my rating tbh soooo yeah pre-order it and get ready for forbidden romance at its finest!
Holy Sir? Sir! Brett is definitely built differently from Jett they both may be stubborn AF and alphahole big D ENERGY, but Brett is more of a junkie. He loves the rush. Jett is cold and calculated.
Alex came from Ohio and staying with her step sis who happens to work in said Prestigious University. It definitely is First lust at first sight.
I dont blame her id crawl for that man and holy fuck the scenes in this book its SPICY AF. It got me shaking and sweating. I was definitely here for the spice cause i love them filthy and ooh the degradation and praise was utter perfection. Cassandra is my go to for smut 🥵
I also do love books with phone s3x its just 💯💋
Overall this book made me more emotional that Powers i did love it for what it was. The FmC definitely got dick-stracted with Dean Powers. Cause me too girl. Dean Powers wants to see you in your office now… bitch when? Haha sign me up.
I will say i didnt expect the next couple. Oooh scandalous. Shocking.

“Brett Powers is gorgeous, filthy, and completely off limits. But some rules are made to be broken.”
This was such a fun romance! We have age gap (he’s 19 years older), it has a professor/student setup (and he’s the new Dean), as well as he’s her sister’s ex! Brett Powers ends up becoming Dean at 38 and finds his new student, Alexandrea, too tempting. He even tries telling her she needs to quit his class 😅, which she is having none of that. Later on he runs into her again, and realizes she’s the half-sister of his recent hookup buddy.
The steam and chemistry in here between Brett and Alex is so so good! 🔥 If you are in the mood for a spicy, entertaining read then look no further…all of the tropes in this are just delicious. The dynamic between Brett and Alex is a fun one, she’s being introduced to a lot with them and discovering her own sexuality. I liked how he comes off arrogant and the one making the decisions, but she gives just as good back to him. Plus it’s always fun seeing a confident hero fall apart because of being so struck by the heroine. I also loved the narrators, Angelina Rocca and Corvin King! They really brought these characters to life and were perfect for how I imagined the characters to be. We also get a little bonus snippet of narrators Lessa Lamb and Troy Duran, who were the narrators for book 1’s characters who make an appearance.
Thanks so much to Forever and Always PR for the audio ALC, all thoughts in this review are my own!
Let me be transparent; I love the Power Brothers on Smut alone. Wait, there is a Plot? I don’t care. It’s a bonus. It’s a good plot.
Don’t tell Jett, but Brett is all that and a bag of chips. There will be times you may hate him. But it’s a love-hate relationship. By the end, I loved him. When he loves, it catches him by surprise, and he loves deeply.
Alexandra is new to California and starting her first year at college and living with her witch of a half-sister. Take away the W and add a B. Seriously, the father needed to step up.
Did I tell you Brett is her professor and Dean? No, sorry, and oops, I forgot to add he had a fling with the sister, even better for a forbidden love.
The Power Brothers empress that forbidden love. Rule was the light, spicy read I needed between Dark books, and I enjoyed the journey. I hope to read cameos of them in the future.
LIKES: If you love an MMC that can make a woman's clothes vanish with a single word, then may I introduce you to Dean Brett Powers lol. An extremely intelligent, charismatic, dominant professor who also happens to ride a sports bike? Yes please!
DISLIKES: As much as I enjoyed the MMC, I didn't really care for Alexandrea's character. She's a teenager, so I shouldn't be surprised that she often acted immature or was pretty naive at times when it came to their relationship. The FMC from the first book in the series was young too, but she didn't bother me like Alex does.
The spice also happens pretty quickly in these books, so I kinda missed that tension and build-up between the characters. But Brett alone made this a fun read!

“She was worth the risk. She’s the best rule I’ve ever broken.”
oh…my god. this book was so hot and cute both at the same time? i truly don’t know how to feel right now. i definitely was not expecting to enjoy this book as much as i did since i went into it thinking it would be a typical student x dean type of story, but it really wasn’t.
it’s funny because in reality, nothing really happened (plot wise) at any point in the book yet some things happened at the same time. does that make sense? probably not, but i hope someone out there reading this review gets what i mean.
Cassandra Robbins is a new to me author and i just realized i had her other book involving Brett’s brother, Jett, on my tbr which i didn’t know. i’ll definitely get on reading it at some point soon. Cassandra’s writing is so easy to read and follow which made this book ten times more enjoyable for me! Brett and Alexandrea’s book was so good and had the right amount of hot and cute moments combined. Brett’s mouth seriously had a big effect on me.
3⭐️ I enjoyed this more during my first read, but that might be because it helped pull me out of a year-and-a-half-long reading slump. This time, I listened to the audiobook, and the narrators just didn’t match at all. The male narrator sounded young, while the female narrator sounded much older—it was a bit jarring and took away from the experience.
This book is definitely a guilty pleasure. It’s just so over the top, ridiculous and melodramatic. But I’ll tell you one thing, there was never a dull moment.
We met Brett in Power, he’s the brother of high power attorney Jett. Unlike his older brother, Brett is a college professor on the cusp of becoming Dean. And that’s simply a side job as he works toward winning the Nobel Peace prize.
Dude likes to find a rush be it surfing, riding his motorcycle or something of that caliber. He’s also a bit of a man whore, getting down with his married retired porn star neighbor and also his Professor colleague Skylar.
Enter Skylar’s sister Alex who just so happens to be in one of Brett’s classes. It’s lust at first sight. For instalove I actually rather enjoyed their instant connection and how quick they were to fool around. I found some moments hot if not quick. I think Brett definitely suffered from premature ejaculation but thank goodness Alex was also quick to come or Brett was sure to get her off.
I mean there’s not much more to say. They’re meeting and quick relationship was a bit convoluted but it was fun. There was lots of drama between all the fucking so who can complain?
CAN WE JUST SAY WOW!? 🥵 Cassandra coming in hot with yet ANOTHER masterpiece 🔥
Another Power’s brother has blessed our presence and I couldn’t be more thankful! Brett Power’s is the ultimate alphahole and I’m LIVING for it! 🥵😮💨
Alexandrea was dick-stracted by Dean Powers from the moment she saw him… but like SAME GIRL 🤭 I’d crawl & kneel for that man ANY DAY OF THE WEEK 🔥
These two just complimented each other so incredibly well. The dual POV was perfection once again! I absolutely loved how possessive he was over Alex even when he had no right to be! “Baby Girl.” NUFF SAID.

dont get me wrong, I love the teacher student trope but this one… idk
they have a 20 year age gap !!!!! TWENTY .
i don’t love huge age gap relationships, and that’s one of the reasons i didn’t like this book. SHE WAS 18! he was 38.
i’m a wcs e dear john girl. this was very would’ve could’ve should’ve on his side.
he kissed her out of nowhere and he kept saying he should control himself, AND AS A 38YO he should be able to. that was one.
second: he knew she was a virginia and he just went along without ANY protection or gentleness. BUT PROTECTION!!!!!!!!!
ok. and then …. the whole stealing thing … not gonna say anything.
and then they break up and her sister says something about his neighbor and how she should test and SHE DOENST SHE JUST FORGETS AHOUT IT??? idk just no.
and what about her family???????? no opinions on a 20y older boyfriend???????
ok i’m sorry but it wasn’t for me, this is me saying everything that didn’t work for me…
i felt like he couldn’t love her bc he was just taking advantage, but it was me.

Let me tell you a little bit about my NEW FAVORITE AUDIOBOOK!
This book was so HOT. This has to be the spiciest audiobook I have ever listened to!
The narrators who did the audiobook for this spicy as heck book did so dang well! I think it was a whole other experience being able to actually listen to it. I gobbled this up SO fast.
I listened to this audiobook in one sitting and I could listen to it over and over again honestly.
Cassandra is definitely a new favorite author of mine. My first book was that I read of hers was Power which I also absolutely loved.
Highly recommend purchasing the audiobook for this one, but even if you don't, it'll be a great read!
This book is stupid. Idk how to describe that it felt like grooming.
Things that are stupid about this book
1) the heroine (Alexandrea) is stupid 2) the mmc is supposedly a genius is also stupid 3) I don’t the author understands what environmental engineering is 4) the fmc tried to ride a scooter on the highway after being told not to 5) the insta lust was moving too hard. She came late to class and is hot 6) the amount of times her nipples were described has hard 7) she tried to shoplift 8) she has no friends 9) a lot of it just felt like grooming
Overall far to innocent girlie get caught up in older man. I hope she gets a divorce.
When I read Power last year it blew me away. I had no idea that this book was coming. I didn’t really even remember he had any siblings and I just listened to the audiobook a couple weeks ago. I was super excited to see this book pop up in my suggestions on my kindle. I almost hated to read it because then I wouldn’t see Chase Mattson staring at me every time I sat down to read. (I sort my kindle view to only show me my KU borrows unless I’m specifically looking for a book I own).
So this one is about Jett’s brother, Brett. Jett and Brett, their parents must have been short on name ideas lol. Brett is pretty similar to his brother in that he finds himself wanting to have someone he shouldn’t and deciding to do it anyway. I’m sure there will be spoilers. Proceed at your own risk.
We don’t get to know Alexandrea as well as we did Raven. This is somewhat Brett-centric story, I think. After introducing her most of her part in this book is directly tied to her relationship with Brett. He was slightly less of an asshole than Jett. He’s a pretty delectable H overall. He only tried minimally to not jump into the forbidden relationship.
It’s a bit icky but he’s been with h’s sister in the past. It was never serious but this girl is psychotically obsessed with Brett. I know Brett choosing h over *everything* in the end should be enough for me but I desperately wish we’d seen the sister getting some sort of fallout for being such an insufferable hag. Even just a little peek at her self destructing would have been enough 😩.
This is a fast burn, they are banging by like 33% or so. Lots of smutty scenes throughout. Solid spice, I wasn’t disappointed. The mouth on that man 🥵. His dirty talk game was on point.
He’s a reformed manwhore 😩 She was a virgin 🙄 No condoms but she’s on the pill Some OW/OM drama No cheating 3rd act breakup and separation 🥱🤮 Separation is approximately 1 week HEA/HFN
Safety - so H is a reformed manwhore for h. He’s been with her bitchy sister. The sister doesn’t really do a lot than stalk around and try come between H/h unsuccessfully. She has no verifiable proof of their relationship but she’s practically stalking H.
Our first introduction to H is him getting an on page BJ from his former porn star neighbor. They have an arrangement for this. H has not met h yet. Still felt kind of unnecessary , I wish authors wouldn’t casually throw this stuff into their books. What was the point? You had no other way of communicating to me that H is a raging manwhore without literally showing me his dick down someone’s throat? Am I supposed to like this? Feel grossed out by it? What exact purpose does this serve? Why do I literally need a scene with his dick in a strange woman’s mouth to know he’s a himbo? It obviously didn’t ruin the book but it is still wholly unnecessary.
There is a OM who is interested in h but she only sees him as a friend. H gets mad jealous over him though.

Calling all my forbidden romance loving and smut loving book friends! Rule by Cassandra Robbins is here and you just cannot miss it! Brett Powers is so unapologetically deliciously filthy and deviant and c0cky..that I don't know how to handle all that hotness. Thank god Alex did. Though she is the student and Brett is the professor, this sweet but sassy girl taught him the most important lesson. The lesson of love! Rule was all kinds of sexy and sinful and I am here for all the spice.
Brett Powers is a genius and doing pioneer research in environment engineering. His project is up for Nobel prize and he is on way to become the youngest Head Dean of California School of Engineering..not just Dean of the department. But then Alexandrea bursts into his class and he knows he has to have her. Breaking all the rules.
So it's a taboo, age gap teacher student romance so keep your moral compass out of the door. Brett gets what he wants and he doesn't let anything or anyone stop him. He wanted Alex from the first sight. It didn't matter she is his student. It didn't matter she is the stepsister of his colleague who was also his fuc* buddy sometimes. He is the absolute alpha with an ego and confidence that matches the size of his...umm..asset. He thinks like a scientist and he thought he can get Alex out of his system after few dirty encounters. But Alex got under his skin and inside his heart with her innocence, her beauty, her sweetness and her fire. Alex was initially totally out of depth with Brett. He is a powerful and enigmatic man. His brilliance and his possessive controlling ways made her heart and body at an disadvantage. But she is not completely intimidated by him. She gradually realised that she has the power here. Brett finally accepted that she means everything. Risking his career. Risking his reputation. I am sucker when an alpha hero falls hard and Brett sure did fall fast for Alex.
