Can I be honest here? Well I'm going to be. Buckle up.
Cavan is portrayed as the big, bad vamp whose attributes reminded me of a caveman. "You are mine and now my slave" At what point was Raphael really his when he let every Tom, Dick and Harry have his ass and do what they wished till he said otherwise? From Raf's teacher, to his boss, to the local cop with conditions if he didn't do what they allowed. It made Raphael look cheaper than a sewer rat.
Now I wouldn't mind a vampire that could look any way I want him to be. Young, old, a small cock or a huge honking one. Too good to be true and points there on creativity.
Raphael on the other hand was degraded to being nothing better than a tight hole to plow. A bottom with no hope of being boyfriend material and treated as such. No one would even see him as a date. I felt sorry for him but yet not. So after all these years he decides to turn his life around? How do you expect to be boyfriend material, belong to one man when you let every Top drive their hands down your pants?
So Raf meets Cavan who, wasn't he supposed to break Raf's non-stop pattern of sex with mutlitudes of men? I got lost in this one. Truly had.
There was a plot eventually in the story that came more towards the ending, but I would have liked to have seen it from the start.
The story is written well, but it's mostly all sex which lost me from the getgo.

I actually liked this book maybe until half-way through. I didn't even mind that all of it was about sex. But at some point you have to say, I can't take it anymore. The sex isn't even fun by the end of the book, where you have the main character debating is he ready for a committed relationship or does he still want to be sc****d by everything on two feet and a d***. The other guy didn't strike me as prince charming and the plot was... frankly flat. But this is just my opinion and maybe I prefer different kind of books.

I really enjoyed this story. It was fresh and hot, and I liked the spin on vampires. I wouldn't call this a romance, but more like a fun erotic romp. Very cute.

Если бы сценарист порно-фильмов писал роман, он бы написал именно эту книгу. Сюжет ужасен, язык никакой, герои картонные-прекартонные, но бросить на половине нет никаких сил.

A very easy and quick read. Lots of hot sex. A nice in-between read.

Did not connect to MC's
I am swaying between 2 or 3 stars; I did not really care for the story but it was not littered with editing mistakes so that raised it up one star. I just could not make an emotional connection to either of the MC's. ******possible spoilers****** Both were one dimensional; the human was unbelievably addicted to sex, he even keeps a sex diary of who , when and where so he can keep track of the hundreds of men who have had him. As for the Shade,or Vampire, I could more easily believe his extraordinary sexual need as it helps keep the blood list under control but I just didn't care that much for him. This is my take on the story, but if you are looking for a story with lots of sex, a sort of HEA, and no glaring editing mistakes that I noticed ,you might enjoy this story.
