Details what it takes as a society to end up with a complete hierarchical thieves guild. While thief cities like Lankhmar have been envisaged in fiction, this is the numbers crunched for RPG's. How big does the population need to be before an assassin's guild will be present?

You start with the level of thieves you wish to encounter and the book illustrates the rest of the society from that point. How many aristocrats can we rob? Are they socially mobile? Not only does it detail rogues of all levels, but includes the culture that concerns them, like city guards and merchants.

Recommended for those who wish to understand the entire culture of thieves, their language, and the cities they lurk around.
