Brookgreen Gardens is one of my favorite places in the world. Gilbert's Brookgreen Oaks brings the place alive when I'm back home in the busy city life. This is my kind of poetry. I did enjoy the poems about the Garden, but the others about the land, culture, and history were even more spectacular. I recommend this book to anyone who has visited the garden or the beaches nearby.
