Slow Motion showcases two complete novels under one cover: Capture the Sunrise by Wayne Jordan, and Dark and Dashing by Devon Vaughn Archer.

In Capture the Sunrise, you have two people seeking solitude and healing in Barbados, but through a mixup and twist of fate, end up sharing a vacation home. Initially wary of each other, Alana Smyth-Connell and Taurean Buchanan eventually ease into a comfortable friendship and romance, thanks in no small part to a wonderful mother-figure neighbor and the relationship that Alana's daughter, Melissa, develops with Taurean. Taurean ends up facing the fears and resentments of his past when he is summoned home during a family crisis. Alana faces the fears of her past when her ex-husband comes to the island to retake what he feels is still his. Resolving the past, finding their purpose, and facing the dawn of their new lives---that's what this beautifully written story brings to readers.

In Dark and Dashing, Oregon inn owner Conneca Sheridan attends a celebrity charity auction and inadvertently wins a dinner date with popular mystery romance author Maurice Templeton. Over dinner and a walk on the beach, the sparks are ignited but, through a slip of Maurice's tongue, are quickly quenched when Conneca cuts the date short and leaves him alone on the beach. Intrigued, Maurice tracks her down and checks into Conneca's inn, ostensibly to finish his latest novel, but, more importantly, to pursue the beautiful inn owner. But with both Conneca and Maurice having relationship issues because of the remnants of past relationships, yielding to intimacy is not the issue; letting their guard down and yielding to a permanent relationship is the main problem. Add an ex-wife/writing partner to the mix, and you have a potentially volatile and impenetrable barrier. Because I experience a range of emotions with both main characters, I felt the author did a very good job in developing characters that drew me into the story. Good book

I have had this book for several years, but hadn't read it because it was hidden behind other books on my shelf. Talk about a hidden treasure! Slow Motion is no longer in print, but hopefully Wayne Jordan and Devon Vaughn Archer will each release their titles separately as ebooks. New platform, new fans!
