Brutally honest and at times hilarious, tragic and tragically hilarious. Gascoigne comes across as a likeable man who has done some stupid things. Sometimes gullible, sometimes violent, he's a man who badly needed somebody to look after his best interests when he was a young man earning a mind boggling amount of money.
Unfortunately, like a lot of lads of his background, he was easily manipulated by people who had a fraction of his natural talent, but the guile of rats.
God help him
