An inspiring story of facing huge challenges, overcoming them and living fully and cheerfully in spite of hardships. Well done, Matt!

Wonderful for fans of the Roloffs. Very nice, light, easy read (bathroom book?).

Matt tends to focus on his disabilities in a repetitive manner a lot, but can you blame him? I was surprised to hear he was hooked on hard drugs for a couple of years but he got through it and has been clean for many years.

His parents are incredible people and you only get a glimpse of their sweet characters on the show. They raised three children with severe health issues. Life was not easy for them but they overcame with tenacity and grace.

Speaking of the show, Matt sure advises staying away from tv as much as possible if you want to make anything of your life. He’s not wrong, it’s just ironic.

The book was written early 2000’s so not a lot of focus on his children, the focus is mainly on his younger years leading into parenthood.

Some editing problems through the book causing confusion, but overall well written and easy to read.

I remember watching "Little People Big World" on TLC a few years back and recently I just relived the whole series through generosity of the surrounding libraries. I like the fact that the Roloff's are sugar coating anything, they have enough on their plates without having to worry about spit shining their life to be the All American Family, instead they showed the world just who they were and I have to give them snaps about that.

Matt's book was interesting and quick. I enjoyed hearing about his childhood and siblings as well as seeing the pictures.

It was a pretty boring book and once I realized it's the same family I've seen talking rudely to each other on their TV show, I lost interest and respect. The only thing that kept me going is that we have a family member who is also a little person. Seems to me her story would be more exciting than this one, though :)
