The Cardboard cover and the inserts filled it too much. It was difficult to move around in it. I would think a book like this with binder inserts would give you enough room for some of your own.

The recipe's themselves were very good and well written, easy to follow. This would definately be one of the book's I would give at a Wedding Shower.

Obviously, Cookbooks are always good refrence books.

This is a great book for the beginning cook. If I had a daughter, I would give it to her when she moves out on her own. Not only does it have recipes, it teaches you how to pick produce, the different types of apples and what they are used for, it also teaches the basics skills needed in cooking among many other things.

I checked this out from the library. I have the other two editions of Taste of Home Cookbook and the Taste of Home Baking Book. I wanted to review this book before I bought it. I think the book is as good as the others, but does not add anything to my already adequate collection of Taste of Home Cookbooks. If you need a gift for a new cook, this would be a perfect gift idea.

Liked the Wedding Soup recipe and will try the butternut squash and pasta fagioli soups, too.
