Plaster & Rock

Rate this book
This book tells the story of a family living in Birmingham. Spanning four generations, it begins with James towards the end of the nineteenth century, and continues through his eldest son, William, who turns out to be a bit of a rogue. Blackmail (and possibly even murder) are some of the lengths he would go to in establishing his plastering business. His son, Jim, and his brothers, follow their father into the family business. The story tells of their experiences during the Second World War, and the hardships they had to endure. Continuing into the next generation, and concentrating on Jim's fifth eldest child, Bernard, the story covers their childhood adventures and misdemeanours, their love of motorcycles, and their often hilarious foray into the music industry.
