About the author

Rochelle Alers was born in Manhattan, New York, USA, where she raised. She obtained degrees in Sociology and Psychology, before started to work. She is a member of the Iota Theta Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., and her interests include gourmet cooking and traveling. She has traveled to countries in North, Central and South America, and Europe. She is also in accomplished in knitting, crocheting and needlepoint.

Published since 1988, today a full-time writer, has been hailed by readers and booksellers alike as one of today's most prolific and popular African-American authors of romance and women's fiction. With more than fifty titles and nearly two million copies of her novels in print, she is a regular on the Waldenbooks, Borders and Essence bestseller lists, regularly chosen by Black Expressions Book Club, and has been the recipient of numerous awards, including the Gold Pen Award, the Emma Award, Vivian Stephens Award for Excellence in Romance Writing, the Romantic Times Career Achievement Award and the Zora Neale Hurston Literary Award. She also wrote as Susan James and Rena McLeary.

Leo's is a he place to be if you want to find good food, good music, love and most of all marriage. The four owners, Noah, Tyrone, Tyrell and Ayanna Hardcastle (3 brothers & their cousin) are the co-owners of Leo's Supper Club. Each owner has no intention of getting married or even falling in love for that matter.

Each owner has their own story within this book that is written by four authors; Rochelle Alers, Donna Hill, Brenda Jackson & Francis Ray. The stories are full of romance, passion, love and of course a happy ending.

Funny and entertaining. A good chick read with a cup of coffee, tea or wine in a cozy corner or in bed.

I consider this an acceptable light read if you’re waiting in an airport or visiting family for the holidays. The first story I read, “Lady in Waiting” was enjoyable, likely because it contained an element of “suspense”, but I struggled to get into the rest. Irresistible Attraction (title is telling, I guess?) was a lot of sensuality, too much sensuality for me (& that’s actually saying a lot). I very quickly grew bored with the descriptions of Sydney’s erect nipples & the heat rising from her midsection🤣 I probably would have liked this three+ years ago but as we say today “it does not hit”. Maybe I’d like it better with wine?

Wonderful A book to be read

I seldom write reviews but I think I must do so this time. Each one of the stories deserves a prize. I look forward to more stories by each author. The story length of each was just right. The characters real and easy to identify with. Truly a good investment for my enjoyment and for others. If one is looking for wonderful love stories this book has them. Yes, I recommend this book it is a very good read !🙂
