How amazing is it that we have a South Asian-Australian author on our shelves, being totally and utterly themselves? This is representation we’ve yearned for years. But this is no accident; it’s a result of Maria’s hard work and visualisation to be right where she is today.
As a reader, I don’t particularly lean towards non-fiction or ‘self-help’, but Maria’s words have me entranced and captivated. Those who don’t know Maria may think that she’s just a past Miss Universe. But she is so much more; unbounded to any box, she is poised, educated and uses her platform for the greater good.
She writes with knowledge and inclusivity that makes you feel welcomed, no matter if any part of your identity aligns with hers or not at all. This book is inspiring in every sense of the word, and has the power to change the reader’s life if they choose to live with intention; to reach their full potential, unbounded to anyone’s expectations.
I loved this book and couldn’t recommend it enough.

This book is amazing! It's inspiring and empowering to read. I think it takes strength and resilience to be able to draw from and share one's own life experience in such a way, and it takes immense courage to share it with the world. We could all learn a lot from Maria's story and the advice she provides. I personally can relate to some of her story. Congratulations Maria for taking this bold step as your journey has certainly not been easy. And thank you for writing a book full of passion and articulation, researching to equip readers with the ability to find their own path to unbounded experiences.

I have never read a book so fast, even through my hectic uni reading I was able to finish this book over 2 days. Walking into my local book shop to see not only someone I’ve looked up to for so long but also the only South Asian Women on the shelf is truly life changing. This book is so honest and raw universally connecting with people from all different communities, I have never related more to a book with its discussions from racism to mental health. If you haven’t already go purchase this amazing read. This book is truly a beautiful love letter to people of colour and the LGBTQIA+ community who never saw themselves in mainstream media.

I LOVED Unbounded!
Unbounded is the perfect inspiration for those who need help moving forward in their lives with greater clarity, purpose and intention. Maria shares so vulnerably and eloquently. Despite sharing only some (not all) of Maria's experiences, reading this book made me feel so seen and inspired to change my life for the better!
As some one who was born and raised in Australia with immigrant parents, reading Unbounded was incredibly relatable. It has left me motivated me to continue healing, to break away from fear, and to embrace change and manifest a life without limits.
Would 100/10 recommend!!

This book has changed my life. Since finding Maria, everything in my life has looked brighter and more hopeful, Unbounded is a step by step guide to make your life the absolute best. Anyone from literally any background can pick up this book and change their life but what makes it really truly special is the innate experience that queer women of colour can relate to it. As a queer South Asian woman I have never related to any story more and I will be shouting this book from rooftops for the rest of my life. 100/10 MUST READ!!!

I finished Unbounded over a week ago and I am still glowing. It is so raw in content with sections that truly rocked me. However this provided real credibility to Maria’s story. Maria does not hide behind a facade and her honesty is a lesson to all of us. Unbounded is beneficial for everyone regardless of one’s upbringing. I saw parts of me in Maria’s story and parts of everyone I know. As such my awareness of injustice and human frailty lifted to another level. I am a better person for reading this book. I recently received a copy of Unbounded, and I have never finished a book so fast! I am completely blown away. Maria’s vulnerability and authenticity in sharing her story has touched my heart in ways I can’t even describe. I am so grateful for the wisdom and inspiration she has shared.

This is the type of book I wished I read when I was a teenager. Maria has such a fresh voice and it will make you also accept the mistakes you have made in the past and not just brush them off but to own them because every imperfection is who we are.
I am gifting this book now to my niece who is starting Uni.

Insightful, raw and beautifully written. Maria's story is inspiring. Maria shines a light on many topics within this book. The way she has structured each chapter really encourages you reflect on your own experience and provides actionable steps on how to live a more aligned and value driven life.

I have thoroughly enjoyed reading Unbounded. Maria speaks from her personal experiences that many young women can relate to. Her stories are truthful, and her learnings from her experiences are so intriguing to read. I would recommend this book to anyone wanting to better themselves!

I finished unbounded in 2 days could not put the book down. Maria is so inspirational with her words! The journal prompts at the end of each chapter to ask yourself are incredible. Must read book!
