DNF at page 51. don’t get me wrong, i absolutely love karen’s books. however, i just couldn’t get into this one. maybe that’s just me but this wasn’t really my cup of tea🤷♀️.
I absolutely loved this book! I had read one of Karen’s books before and it interested me to read more of her work ….and I loved this one. The characters in the book had unique personalities that everyone could relate to. It was a gripping thriller which had an unexpected plot twist in the end.Something in Karen’s writing kept me gripping on to the book until the very end. Overall , The Cousins is a must read.
great book to start with after reading hiatus :)) if only i can live on gull cove island inside one the story’s resorts and watch all the rich people drama. it was fun to read them unfold their parents secrets
Great for mystery lovers! The grandchildren try and figure out what happened in their parents' days. (Also, don't be thrown off by page amount. It has around 324 pages!)
Um, well I dont really know what to say but I decided to read this book after getting crazy and experiencing the frenzy (in a good way) when reading "Two Can Keep A Secret" by Caren. So I bought "One of Us Is Lying" and "Cousins". Forst of all, I liked the plot. A rich grandmother, a catastrophic event, forcing the children to live home and not to get back again (sure they were no more inheritors) and after 24 years, cousins who seek the truth. But anyway, this was my forth mysterious book I've read (I read it about 2 years ago) so it was a great story for me. But now, that I'm thinking about the book's sentences, tips, etc., I understand it wasnt that much hard to figure out what was going on and what the plot twist was. anyway, this collapsed family embraced some other "side stories"(haha), the same as Caren's other books which gave the book some spice(I mean emotion and excitement by spice) and made the book more interesting. So if you want a YA family mystery book, this is yours!
Finally read this after buying it yhe day it came out. I loved Karen McManus’ books when I was younger and I still really enjoyed it!! It had twists which I didn’t predict and characters I was rooting for/against.
If possible I would rate it a 3,5 but we’ll go with four stars. Overall the plot is really interesting though you can kind of guess it before it happens as the story progresses. The characters are likable and relatable which enhances the story. Overall good mystery, would recommend :)
This was interesting. I don't exactly remember the plot well (I read it several months before I made this account) but I remember enough. This was pretty decent. It didn't specifically stand out to me or anything, but it was good enough quality. If you've loved Miss McManus's books before, I'd recommend it to you. If you haven't and have only gotten severely annoyed by the stupidity of the characters, you probably won't love this book. Proceed with caution.
