I see Adobe Illustrator as a professional tool particularly useful for designers. The strengths of the program are its ability to work with vector graphics, can create 3D images, and is great for creating interactive graphics. It also houses many of the same great editing features, effects, and creation tools as Photoshop.

Not being very familiar with Illustrator, I used this book mainly as a view into what the program can do and the potential of such. It`s not really a drafting program but it does a much better job of making the designs present well.
