Her first novel, Grace at Low Tide, was one of three finalists for the 2006 Christy Awards in the general/contemporary fiction category. She lectures on a variety of topics and has taught creative writing on the college and high school level. She serves as a writer-in-residence at Ashley Hall in Charleston, SC.

Read The Convenient Groom, found it fun enough, 3 stars. The author presented some great characters, good situations, and interesting elements (the rings, the gazebo, the customer) but didn't develop weave them in fully. It came off as uneven to me.

The convenient groom was awesome and loved it a lot! However the other story, I didn’t like at all, it was all over the place.

A bit predictable but still decent.

I LOVED The Convenient Groom-couldn't put it down. The Wedding Machine was not a book I enjoyed. It was depressing to me and I felt like I didn't understand where it was going or what it all meant.
