Alien Mate 2

Rate this book
Lex's ancestors have chosen a mate for him, there's only one problem. She's not the earthling he wants.

Maya’s been raised to believe in aliens, and when she saves one from drowning, she can’t resist taking him home—and into her bed.

Lex’s mission to collect his mate has been fraught with difficulties, and to add even more trouble to the mix, he finds himself attracted to the wrong earthling—a curvy human who makes him question tradition.

Things get complicated in New Mexico because the military’s on the hunt for an ET, Maya’s determined to do what’s right, and Lex finds himself in the biggest battle of all—the one between his heart and his honor.

~ New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author

Hello, my name is Eve Langlais and I am an International Bestselling author who loves to write hot romance, usually with werewolves, cyborgs or aliens .

I should warn you, I have a twisted imagination and a sarcastic sense of humor something I like to let loose in my writing. While well known for my shifter stories, I am also extremely partial to aliens, the kind who like to abduct humans and then drive them insane...with pleasure. Or do you like something a little darker, more serious? Then check out my cyborgs whose battle with humanity have captivated readers worldwide.

Everything that was cool or funny in the first book is lacking in this one.

Main girl character - not funny. Not quirky. Too much of a racial stereotype. Hispanic maid, curvy, says "dios mio" every other sentence.

Also, it is set on Earth, not their cool planet. That's right, not the planet with the robot maid or machine that cooks for you. Earth. Where we don't have those things. What's the freaking point? It's like Mario World that is set in a strip mall. Not fun.

How shocking that a book called Alien Mate 2, instead of having a new and original title, was bad! Disappointed me.

Nothing much to say here.

An alien on his quest to go claim his chosen mate(chosen by a bunch of ghosts...errr...ancestors), his ship got broken so now he needs help...and that help comes from a woman that he can't seem to keep his hands off.

So a lot of ...

through the whole book. XD

Lighter on conflict (and on smut if I'm recalling correctly) than the first book, but the characters were just as likable. I think this might be the first book I've read with a Latina heroine. Anyway.

Call me crazy, but I like the idea of an alpha warrior showing up, telling me I've been chosen by some Oracle to be his mate, that he prefers my extra curves, and that we're leaving for a new life immediately. But that probably says a lot more about me than you really want to know.

Basically, if you're looking for some fun and sexy smut with just a bit of conflict and drama, these are a good starting point. I wouldn't necessarily classify this as erotica, but it's not just romance either. Some tricky in-between that I'll have to come up with a name for because even romantica doesn't quite fit the bill.

Lex is grateful his ancestors has selected a mate for him. He heads to Earth to claim her only to find himself rescued by a beautiful woman Maya. Maya should leave Lex alone but something about the man has Maya wanting to spend as much time with him as possible, problem is his mate is someone else. Lex doesn't understand why the ancestors chose someone else when all he wants is Maya, could the fates be wrong?

This was a lot of fun. Thought it was like a Roswell episode a bit and I really enjoyed how the story unfolded. Another great read by this author.

Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Plot/Storyline: 📖📖📖📖
Feels: 🦋🦋
Emotional Depth: 💔💔
Sexual Tension: ⚡⚡
Romance: 💞💞💞
Sensuality: 💋💋
Sex Scene Length: 🍑🍑🍑
Steam Scale (Number of Sex Scenes): 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 (These scenes felt a little more generous than book 1?? I ended up counting more flames in this one than book 1)
Humor: Yes
Perspective: Third person from both hero and heroine

(These are all personal preference on a scale of 1-5 (yours ratings may vary depending what gives you feels and how you prefer you sex scenes written, etc) except the Steam Scale which follows our chart from A Love Less Ordinary )

Should I read in order?
It’s not totally necessary. The stories are loosely related in that the heroes all come from the same planet looking for their mates but each book stands well enough alone.

Basic plot:
Lex is sent to find his mate! Only when he arrives on Earth, it’s another woman that catches his eye...and heart.

Give this a try if you want:
- Latina human heroine/blue alien hero
- Culture shock – alien hero adjusts to Earth life
- Forbidden love – the hero comes to Earth for his mate, but meets our heroine that interests him instead
- You want alien on Earth romance – most of this book takes place here

My thoughts:
I ended up liking this one a touch more than book 1, though this hero also wasn’t my favorite. Most of the story takes place on Earth, with humans searching for the alien so it had a vague feeling of urgency/danger in the background. Overall I just didn’t fall in love with this one either!

The tension was a touch better than book 1 for me and the sex felt a little more emotionally developed. Still, there was a lot of sex happening without the relationship developing for me so I never had strong feelings for the book.

Cock Stats:

Content warnings:

Locations of kisses/intimate scenes: Book 2 starts at 44% of book set and ends at 70%

We met the Oracle back in book one, Alien Mate, and she seems to understand that in order for the aliens to find an earth woman and to claim them things need to change. While keeping that in mind we see Lex and Maya who have a stupid, crazy, strong connection to another fight the pull to be together because Lex is supposed to be 'destined' to be someone else's mate.

This book had a lot of angst only because Maya and Lex were fighting not to be together. Also it seems as though the US government or more specifically a general within the US Military, is up to naughty things. I really hope that Eve Langlais explores this angle because it seems as though this little tidbit that was given within the book should be explored.

ALIEN MATE 2 by Eve Langlais is the second in her Alien Mate series.

Lex’indrios Vel Romannu is rescued by the luscious Maya Romero when his landing inspires a widespread alien-hunt in her neighborhood. Though she isn’t his intended mate, they both can’t seem to resist a powerful mutual attraction.

Eve Langlais’s story is hot and funny and surprisingly sweet as well!

May finds a alien at work in the pool drowning, he does not swim since his planet is almost void of water, she saves him and takes him home knowing the military is looking for him.

He tells her of his intent to find his mate. Which she finds out later is a military liut. looking for him to disect him alive... all the time she is with him she is falling in love..

This story is very exciting, since she must hide him, help him find a mate who will kill him, love him have sex with him and all the while her heart is breaking,... she has always believed in aliens since her great grandmothers sister was taken by a blue man many years before so her parents always believed in life beyond earth.

Will he make it back to his home planet? he has lost his communication device in the pool which military found... and now they find him.. to kill him.. and maya since she helped him.. with No way to beam them up or get away they are surrounded by killer military soilders..

Good story for a mid length novella about 150 pages..

I loved it.. and these blue aliens are sure growning on me... they are hot..

This is book 2 in the Alien Mates series. This was the story of Maya and Lex. Although from different worlds, one thing holds true, love is universal. He came to Earth to claim Amanda as mate, his ship had trouble so he landed. He winds up in trouble and needs rescuing.. Finally a man who is a damsel in distress. Lol. All hell breaks lose and it goes down from there. This story moves fast. I liked it more than the first book. I'm really excited to see the next one.

Short story. 61 pages.

Maybe I'm OD'ing on the aliens looking or hooking up with Earth girls but I couldn't wait until this story was over. The trick the Oracle placed on them was not only cruel but dangerous. Didn't really get it.

It was neat having a spanish girl for the main girl. Really hot scenes. Military chase added nice twist.

A quick, enjoyable read. As with the first book (listened to on Audible), the A.I. makes me giggle. Yes, there was more world buildup in Alien Mate 1, but in the second book, you get Lex, a blue, hunky alien out of his command and comfort zone. The curvaceous and obstinate earthling, Maria, is his best hope of completing his mission, just not the one he expected. You also get a little forbidden, insta-love going on here, but it fits the fast pace. For those who want a light, rapid read between longer books, Alien Mate 2 delivers.

Really enjoyed this fun story and liked both Lex and Maya. Didn’t have enough fun with Alphie this time. Not as good as book one as we stay on earth.
Liked the thinking of getting them to choose each other.
Hated the fact another alien who had previously come to claim his mate had been captured and killed by the military arses. Cannot understand the Oracle and ancestors letting that happen and the poor woman who was his mate is now left alone on earth.
I own the original version which has been read and reviewed previously but they are missing.

I love this series! Omg it so freakin funny. The setting in this one is in New Mexico. I love it, living in New Mexico myself it’s great knowing the places mentioned in this book. I am a bit disappointed that I didn’t run into a blue alien when I was in Alamogordo. The narrator, Logan, did a fantastic job. This is a short read, a tad shorter than the others, however still packed full of awesomeness. Alfie cracked me up. I love how everything worked out in the end as it was supposed to, even if the oracle is a tricky gal. Great read, great narration. Grab this, the first, and third and enjoy.

Definitely the opposite of Alien Mate 1. In this installment of eve langlais’s alien mate series Lex finds him self going on a misson for his perfect mate but ends up causing a stir in a small New Mexican town. He is lucky that Maya finds him after her shift. I did like Maya and lex and once they both stop fighting the feelings for each other they are able to complete what the oracle asks of Lex to find his mate. Also i enjoyed seeing that Lex’s society finally but love matches over abducting the ladies.

Why is it that this Alien series details only BBW women? That would be fine, but is there a choice where it could have been a mixture of both? Every woman can't be a small size or BBW size because we were all created in HIS (God). Sorry to get biblical, but this is only my opinion. I'm glad that at least the author chose a Hispanic/Latin in this story. Still the book was another ok read for me.

Sneaky oracle! In this alien abduction, the abductor doesn’t want to follow his orders for his abductee, and he is a big rule follower, so this confuses him. Of course, because he has never broken rules before, he isn’t sure what to do, but decides to follow his instincts. Everything works out in the end, proving love always wins, yet again 😊

3.5⭐️ Hijinx and Rigamarole ensues!! Lol
I like this one!! I like this one wayyy more than the first book. I’d recommend someone read this as a standalone. Alfie was my favorite character in the first book and he came in cannon in this one too.
I like Lex’s attitude in comparison to what I’ve seen so far of this series.

(Explícito). Ni al caso. Demasiado cliché y de poca calidad la narración, en tercera persona. Ósea, se enamoran y se aman después de un día de conocerse. No recomendable.
