Rate this book
His family's "curse" had businessman Reynard del Castillo engaged to a woman he'd never really marry. Flighty Sara Woodville was beautiful, but there was no attraction between them at all. Until the day he kissed her, felt passion ignite—and knew the woman in his arms was not Sara.

Rina agreed to pose as her twin temporarily, never expecting to fall for her devilishly handsome "fiancé." Now she's lost her heart…and could lose Reynard if—when—he discovers her deception.

Finding out his fiance, Sara Woodville, had switched places with her twin sister, Sarine, did not sit well with Reynard del Castillo, despite knowing their engagement was only for show. Due to a family emergency he decided to let it play out and see how long 'Sara' would keep up the act.

Although he was attracted to Sara, the attraction he felt for Rina could not compare. The fire only grew the more he got to know her.

Rina could not believe what her twin had gotten her into. Claiming she needed to get away, Rina was left with no choice but to step into her sister's life. Not only was it hard to act like Sara, but to deny the attraction she felt for her sister's fiance.

When the truth comes out it takes honesty Honor. Truth. Love. to hold them together.

The best character in the book is the cottage, (lol) but I actually really love the discussion of how far you will go for family.

Rina arrives on the island where her sister is staying with her fiance and is surprised when her sister hands over a letter and hops on a plane to leave. The letter asks Rina to stand in as her, to pose as Rey del Castillo's fiance until she returns to straighten things out. At first, Rina is determined to tell the truth. But circumstances have her putting it off until it becomes impossible to come clean. And Rina is constantly tempted by the attraction she has to Rey. But she can't betray her sister by sleeping with her sister's fiance. What Rina doesn't know is that the engagement was fake. But feeling the attraction to Rina, Rey is tempted to make it a bit more real. After a tantalizing kiss, Rey is suddenly certain that Rina isn't his fiance (and he confirms it through research) and is out to con him. So he's determined to find out how far she will go to get what she wants through seduction. But he doesn't expect to fall in love with a con woman, nor does Rina expect to fall in love with her sister's future husband.

I usually love a good twin-swap story. They're so soap operaish and dramatic. This one doesn't quite hit the mark for me. I love how things start out, with the switch causing Rey to suddenly see his fiance as irresistibly attractive and him wondering why all of a sudden. But I didn't care for Rey realizing the truth so early on. Because then, all their time together is sort of muddled with his anger and sense of betrayal and I got the sense that he was just acting like he liked her. Because we couldn't spend the whole story in his head, I always found myself wondering if he was being genuine. So when he realizes he loves her, despite thinking her a con woman, I didn't buy it. Nor did I like that they slept together while she thought he believed she was someone else and he thought she was a dishonest gold-digger. It rather put their passionate night together in a negative light for me. And then there wasn't a scene later to balance it out. Still a solid, enjoyable story, but this was kind of a 2.5 for me.

Much better than the first book in the series (Honor-Bound Groom), even though this brother was on the egotistical side as well.

I'd say this book was just an okay read.
