This was a pretty good book. I know it was a novella, so it was short. Jace and Callie were enjoyable characters pining after one another, too afraid to confess their feelings in case it ruined their friendship. I loved that Jace had zero experience and how Callie was more dominant. It was quite refreshing as most romance books are reversed, having the FMC with no experience and the MMC being very experienced. Typically when I see "a spicy" novella/book, I expect more spice. Out of 12 chapters (each one roughly 10 or so pages), there were only like 3 spicy chapters. I felt like this was 98% inner dialogue and 2% spice. There was also A LOT of inner dialogue, even during the spicy parts, which I found to be a bit boring at times. Overall, this novella is a great, short read for in between other books or the perfect palate cleanser from darker books.
