Twelve years ago, an alien race from another galaxy, the Serpentiums, invaded the Milky Way, threatening the very integrity of the Iceanean Empire. Rayth, their king, a being of mythical proportions, was determined to plunder the Milky Way. But one year into the incursion, Korba crushed his ships. Yet dealing with the Serpentiums was far from over.

To the shock of all, Korba and Chelan’s eldest daughter developed a special bond with the Serpentium king through a unique power they both shared. That bond transcended anything anyone could have ever fathomed. Realizing that they could lose their daughter, Korba and Chelan had one critical to keep Shanna protected at all costs while appeasing Rayth, thus thwarting a future more potent invasion by the much more advanced race. And so a deal was forged.

Before any monumental decisions could be made, decisions that would have serious repercussions throughout both empires, Korba and Chelan demanded that Shanna be allowed to reach adulthood, a time determined by them to be eighteen years of age. During the eleven years that Rayth must wait to vie for the future Iceanean Empress’s hand, the King and his fleets were to have no contact with the Iceanean Empire, nor with Shanna. That time is now over.

Shanna has matured into a bright, beautiful, self-confident young woman, and during her time away from the Serpentium king, her attachment to the being has diminished. Her childhood fantasies of following him to his galaxy for the adventure, and to eventually rule by his side as his queen, have all but vanished. In truth, she hopes that he never returns. Korba and Chelan are wishing for the same, but they know better. The King will arrive, and there will be fallout. How much upheaval is unleashed will be determined by Shanna’s decision, and it will be levied by Rayth’s hand.

Exceptional

I laughed. I cried. I was so furious I could spit nails and that seemed to be in just the first few chapters. Thank you once again Shae. We communicated years ago by txt and I told you then and I will tell now now, "You are an exceptional writer." Told you either then I was thinking about writing a book and with your thoughtful encouragement I not only wrote 1 but 2 books totalling over 1,200 pages. Now I just need to have the nerve to publish it.
I still can remember you telling me to draw from my heart. And I did.
These books are a wonderful series that has everything a woman needs to clear her mind of stress. A warm bath, or cozy couch with a soft blanket. Whatever you do when reading get comfortable, because once you start, the family gets cereal for dinner. I could not tell you my favorite part because I loved every single chapter. Looking forward to boom 8. I'm reading it next. I went back to the first book and read from the very beginning. It has been very long week of quick dinners and little sleep. Husband keeps asking what book I'm on. Lol.
Keep up the great work Shae. You are a wonderful author.

I love all the Characters. Love all the drama. It's not over the top which makes a great read however leaving the story hanging is frustrating if I had known I would have waited until it was finished to buy it. Shea you're a very talented writer. You keep me Spell bound throughout the entire series!! I read this series at least once a month. Nothing compares to this series. I am never bored. Would love it to be on audible with sabastian york as Dar. And Teddie Hamilton .5 stars is not enough for these books

DNF at 31%

I couldn't finish this book. All roads, thoughts, conversations, situations lead to sex. I'm not a prude but the discussions the characters have regarding sex, particularly between Shanna and her parents are cringeworthy.

Been waiting for more from this author. Just got this latest series. It’s the best sci-fi romance book series I’ve read so far. The authors world building is phenomenal, she engages you in all senses, her characters come alive, her sex scenes are super hot without being trashy, the story plots are always amazing, it’s a series I’ve re-read many times and still couldn’t get enough of and leaves you wanting for more, which is something I couldn’t say with other sci-fi books I’ve read.
A book shelf must keep and definitely a future sci-fi classic in the level like that of Julie Garwood, Judith McNaught, Johanna Lindsey in the Historical Romance Genres, C.L. Wilson in the Fantasy Genres and Suzanne Brockmann’s and Kristen Ashley’s Fiction Genre.
Would love to see more series or sub-series coming. I would have loved to see Toran and the others to have survived and eventually found, of fierce Emma waking up one day and inheriting that full head of silver blond hair as she reached adulthood and become the best maverick fighter pilot the empire has ever seen, besides the empire could use a female version of Dar. And what of that child Chelan carried in Cleos? of Chelan’s brother and family in Calley? What of gentle Kaya and Jason the wildcard? Can’t wait to see more. A book series I definitely recommend.
