One chance. One life. It's time to make it count.Listening to Molev's intuition that the west coast isn't safe, we start making plans to return to the community he and his brothers have made. However, the infected are changing. Into what, we're not sure, and we don't want to find out.
Our final stand against the infected is coming, whether we want to admit it or not, and even with Molev at my side, I'm not sure I'll survive. But if I do, the world and my place in it will be forever changed.
Let the end begin.
Perfect for fans of dystopian romance, smoldering hot dark fey, and heroines with fire, this finale will take you to the edge of humanity.
MJ Haag is the bestselling author of the Beastly Tales and the Resurrection Chronicles. Writing as both MJ Haag and Melissa Haag, she has sold more than three hundred thousand copies worldwide and authored several other series, including the Judgement of the Six and Of Fates and Furies.
She thinks bios written in third person are hilariously pretentious and doesn't take much in life seriously, including her author photo.
She lives in Wisconsin with her three children and husband.
I am going to miss so many of these characters. The Fae are absolutely awesome and this series deserves so much more attention.
But i also have to say, the serie is not flawless ofcourse.
I think she spend to much focus on the damn camp they stayed and their political issues. I didnt understand much of it and just wanted them to be back at whiteman.
I never knew they actually kept Adam alive, i thought they just killed him because they didnt agree with his choise. Also if he had become that smart, would he not jus thave been able to get out of the house?
She never said anything about whether the vaccin was succesful or not and how it was spread around eventually. There was so much attention on this damn vaccine just to be left out in the final.
The way merdon and andie survived the cave in was a bit to easy. They are supposed to be very deep underground but they somehow saw light to the surface and just climbed out?
Destroying the crystal was a given, but that it killed over half of all zombies? Not sure, if i paid enough attention, the number of zombies they crossed in the field was like 1 or 2 each time. They were leading the "not smart" zombies usually. So over half of all zombies dying to the destruction of the crystal in the end...not sure if that made sense.
But overall, there we so many moments i was laughing and just loving these characters. If any of them would have died....oef

This is my least favorite book in the series, and Andie the least favorite character. The way the author has melded this massive story into so many great characters the world building, just very impressive. I’ve given 5 stars on all of her other books because it was well deserved. This book was slow to get going and there was a lot of how women have to give up everything for a man and children. That is wrong on so many levels. I gave up nothing to be a wife and mother. I have a beautiful husband of 42 years and our daughters are unique and beautiful. One is a wonderful wife and will never be a mother by choice and the other is a wonderful mother and wife again by choice. Do we think it’s only women that give of themselves? Absolutely not , men do also. They have to change their lifestyles just like a woman does. I become weary of it’s their fault or that persons fault or any bodies fault. Okay I’ll jump off the soap box now. Im coming to the end of this book with no real solved problem for the infected. Yes I did a review before finishing the book ( was over 70% done ) it just became to irritating so here we are. You know this could just be me at this moment in time. Its 5am and I’ve been up all night so there’s that. It is sad to see the end of the series it’s given me so many many hours of wonderful reading. So thank you for writing and the imagination and courage to share with us all.
Still can’t stand Andie. She is full of excuses, one after another, and in both books has been too busy playing General to give Molev the love that he wants and needs. Unfortunately, Molev worships her too much to dump her ass. Like with the other heroines, she came into the community like a boss—despite her underwhelming employment as a lowly pre-apocalyptic Barista, everyone (Molev included) immediately deferred to her military tactical brilliance. I couldn’t buy into her leadership skills, as she was a civilian with minimal training, knowledge and experience. IMO, both books were drawn out, and could have been consolidated into one. Even though I enjoyed the HEA, Andie’s bullshit leading up to it, was irredeemable, to me. Fives stars for the journey, the team, and for Mack daddy Molev.
After so many books and several bonus novellas, this series is now over. This dystopian world M. J. Haag created is one of my absolute favorites so I am sad that there won’t be any more books set in this world. She did mention she might write some side characters’ stories, so there may be some brief visits back, but for the most part the story ends here. Reading the last book in a series for me is always the hardest. Even though the main storylines have been wrapped up and the main characters have their HEA, I still have questions that I know will never be answered. This ending book was great and this series is definitely worth reading, I am just sad that’s it’s over.
Fantastic series, you have to read from beginning to this one. Few was good, but this part 1 and 2 were 10 stars⭐️. Has everything I desire in a book, great story line, flows forms first page to the end. Glad she told us more after the return to home and the rest of the fey and families. What a wonderful way to end a series. I liked Andie thought she was great for Molev. Lots humor, action, romance and fighting of zombies. Sorry to see it end but I understand. Love this series and especially Molev and Andries story
I have thoroughly enjoyed this series and am sorry that it is finished. Loved the storyline. Captivated by the relationships. Greedy to keep reading. It’s a great read to disappear into and I have read most of the series several times, which is unusual for me. I would recommend starting the series from the beginning, to appreciate the storyline. I think I will read these books for ever more. Thank you M.J. Haag.
I have enjoyed reading this set of stories and I hope there are more of them for you are right there with them from the first book to the last book. I look forward to reading more of them as I was unable to put them down until I read the last book I have loved every single story and I would like to say thank you for all your hard work and may fortune smile 😃on you always 😁from a bookworm that loves to read.
Wow, what an amazing ending to the series. Everything fell into place, all the feels, and all the edge of your seat suspense, mixed with the author's trademark humor. I couldn't be happier with the ending. Highly recommend this series, but a new reader needs to start with book 1, or they will be a bit lost, as the books progress/tie together into this final book. LOVED THIS SERIES!
I was really unsure of the Fey when I began the first book in this series. I enjoyed learning alongside them and seeing their chosen relationships flourish. I would absolutely read more of this world but for now I will settle for the authors other series :)
Andie and Molev's story continues along with the rest of the community characters we love to a backdrop of the scariest infected yet. I have loved the fey for years and am sad to see this series end. Demon Defeat Part 2 brought us the nail-biting fear followed by the closure we needed in a world that was destroyed six years ago. Amazing series!
I adored every bit of this journey and I don’t want it to end.
I could and would continue to read books on each of the Fey couples and/or their children. This is such a mind blowing series of zombies, tension, humor -god the sexual humor 😂- romance, magic, and so many other things. This is by far my favorite apocalyptic series for sure.
I’ll start by saying - I LOVED IT!! And then I’ll say how sad I am that this is the final chapter in this world. I’ve grown to love these characters and will miss having new stories to look forward to. But you know what? This booked ended exactly how I would have wanted it to end. And I can always reread the series over and over again!
I really enjoyed this series. I can’t believe it’s over, but I am really glad everyone survived in this series. And can’t wait to see what other stories M.J Haag comes out with.
Such a bittersweet book! I loved every word of it, but I have to say, I’m sad to see this world end! Fingers crossed for some bonus novellas or something to let us know how some other ladies get/got their sexy fae boys!
I’m sad to see the last book in this series. I’ve loved each one of the characters. ms Haag you’re a genius writer and can build a community of characters better than anyone.
Beautiful ending!! At the start I was just as annoyed with Andie for the first part. It took me awhile to love her. She was annoying me for other reasons too but she grew out of being annoying and I love her more for her growth. Molev was amazing throughout this adventure.
It was good but the whole crystal being sentient and just choosing life was rather random. There was no backstory or rational or even irrational reason for the hounds and infected, why were they cursed why should they be confined. What is the end goal? Not a good ending to all the build up.

Wow! Amazing read did not disappoint unless you count the fact that it’s finished. It is a slow burn which I don’t care for but the middle and the ending made up for it. Loved loved loved this whole series and highly recommended.
A great book and a great ending to a good series that I’m sad to see it end. I highly recommend this series. It a lot of action and still has room for romance.
What an ending. What a journey. It felt like a truly epic experience. I only wish we could have a few more stories of the fey. But they've earned their rest.
