THEN When the universe was young, the creator of all things began their journey to formulate a new world. They created Enkai and Olapa, leaders of the new world Ezatheb. Enkai, former Overlord of Planet Grimson, and Olapa, Zarina of Planet Lucarne were put in charge of populating and keeping alive this new planet. It was to be built on love and hate, friends and enemies, war, and peace; for it had no choice as the new owners of the planet had placed their own souls into the land. Though the pair were forced to live on this planet for eternity, that did not stop them from looking for any way to escape their prison.
NOW Sage is just a girl living in a small village on Ezatheb, waiting for a future she knows will never come. She does her chores, keeps to herself, though not by choice but by the choice of the fellow villagers as they have deemed her strange, so she spends her days waiting for night to come. When the moon rises, Sage transforms into a completely different girl. During the day, Sage is blinded by the sun, forever in its shadows, but with the help of the rising moon, her sight is restored. As her sight unfolds before the moon, she heads out to the fields behind her home to enjoy this secret all to herself. On the other side of Ezatheb lives an orphan on his own among the desert, hating the world and everyone in it. Santamo, believing himself to be a warrior, walks with his head held high and his heart tucked deep within his chest. As Enkai and Olapa plan to escape their hell on Ezatheb, they involve Sage and Santamo in a war to end all wars. Will Olapa be capable of training Sage into the warrior she needs to be to save her village or will Enkai tap into Santamo’s anger and torch Ezatheb to its end?
