Really wish we could’ve gotten a book like this for the Barraki. I think this is the first time we get to hear about a lot of these events that shaped the Bionicle universe before we met the Toa on Mata Nui. Seeing it through the eyes of criminals is a lot of fun. We get to see how the Piraka evolved from loners to the fun-loving homicidal crooks they are today. Also love how Greg incorporates the fan creations from the Rahi Beasts and Dark Hunters guidebooks respectively into the narrative. A must-read!

It's one of the best novels I've ever read. It focuses on the villains and describes the events leading up the fantastic sixth year of LEGO BIONICLE. It chronicles the entire series from their point of view which sets up the final book of the year right. Decent Plot, Writing and Characters.

Difficult to follow, filling in periods of time we have no reason to care about. The writing continues to be fan-fiction level.

a series of flashbacks detailing the storied careers of the Piraka. I like how the Makoki Stones are set up for the Phantoka/Mistika arc.

Wow... Awesome! Another book written by Greg Farshtey. This is easily one of the best things that I've ever read. I recommend it to anyone who loves a good story. It tells the story of what the Piraka were before they joined together and called themselves the Piraka. This book tells the tale of how they had met, why they started searching for the mask of life, how they found out about it, and some of their other past endeavors. It even tells the story of the mysterious seventh Piraka, Vezon. I also found it pretty cool how they had worked together with the villains of some of the other Bionicle chronicles. As all of the other books, you really need to know the world of Bionicle to understand half of the things that they talk about. This book is an action-packed adventure full of mystery and a whole lot of evil. It's one of the few Bionicle books that aren't about toa. This one's actually about the bad guys for once. So that's pretty neat. So that's what I think of it. Assuming that you want to read it, I hope you think the same.

This book covers mostly everything about a good chunk of the BIONICLE universe, not just legends. It explains how Nidhiki got mutated into how he was in "Legends of Metru Nui", It explains how Zaktan got transformed into his current state, It explains what happened to Roodaka after "Web of Shadows", and it even explains why the Brotherhood and the Dark Hunters were at war. I would reccomend this book to any BIONICLE fan. Farshtey has such a very creative imagination. This was my childhood. Still love it!

Another great, creative addition to the series, this tale explores the origins of the Piraka and their search for the Mask of Life, as well as the parallel activities of the mysterious Vezon.
