I was recommended this on Tiktok and for the love of god I’m traumatised which is an UNDERSTATMENT i need therapy after that .
The plot wasn’t all that. The story is about Kiril who is a sport scholarship student and Mallory a rich girl whose dad is involved in the mafia who both became best friends in high school. Then one day Mallorys dad is in trouble for stealing from the mafia losing her trust fund and everything they owned she turned to Kiril and he told her he’d go to his dad who he hadn’t seen from birth and told her to wait for him who might I add is the bratva boss. Kirils dad cuts him a deal in order for him to forgive the debt of mallorys father he would have to join the bratva . When Kiril returned he came to Mallory gone because her dad had forced her to run with him
7 years later Kiril has been finding Mallory and Mallory Kiril. But Kiril isn’t the sweet friend she left behind he’s now more ruthless than ever and he’s obsessed with her . Now that he’s found her he won’t let go

He literally locked her up and tied her up and fantasised about getting her pregnant whilst tied up in his house so that she could never leave him he sold her house and distanced her from her friends made her lose her job and house so that she was only left with him
There was no need for him to behave like that because she was in love with him and was finding him too So the fact that he knew that and still decided to bloody lock her up and distance her from everyone has me all icked out 🤨.

What I can’t wrap my head around is after everything Kiril did to her the dumb cow was like I CAN FIX HIM. You didn’t hurt me it’s not like he locked you up and literally took everyone you loved away from you. Like I see why Kiril wanted some sort of revenge because he sold his soul to the devil for her and she ran away but like dude when you found out her dad forced her to run you still kept her locked up and carried on with your sick plan.
To make this worse it ended on a cliff hanger and now I have to read the second part because I can’t leave a series or book half read. Id give this 0 stars if i could he creeped the shit out of me and not in a nice way😭😭😭😭

Це перша книга з дилогії про одну пару, у жанрі темний мафіозний роман - і якраз мені теми мафії було мало і недостатньо розкрито.
Меллорі Медісон — 25 років, звичайна дівчина та одержимість головного героя.
Кирилло Чернов — 26 років, син голови «Братви» у Нью-Йорку.
У книзі є дві часові лінії теперешнє - де Кирилло готується бути головою «Братви» ( тут відразу скажу мені бракувало детально описаної ієрархії та загалом мафії) і вже понад сім років шукає свою головну одержимість - дівчину яку він кохав.
Та минуле у якому відкривається історія головних героїв, і головна причина того чому вони не разом і куди зникла Моллі. І тут відразу можу зробити замітку, мені було мало цих спогадів з минулого в деяких моментах у мене залишились питання.
За сім років Кирилло не міг знайти жоден слід Моллі, і ось йому посміхнулась удача. Він знайшов ту від якої втрачає розум, якою шалено одержимий і єдину дівчину яку бачить в ролі своєї дружини - і навіть якщо вона не згодна він потягне силою її під вінець.
Вже можна зрозуміти, що головний герой максимально - червоний прапорець, але до головної героїні відносився максимально уважно. Якщо не враховувати сцен 18+, вони доволі гарячі.
І тут відразу ще один мінус, мені не сподобалась головна героїня. Авторка незмогла чітко описати її характер, і тому я не могла зрозуміти інколи вчинки Моллі. Вона була і мовчазною невинною овечкою, то сміливою і безстрашною. В більшості випадків вона поводила себе дуже не логічно і тупо, не бачила того що коїться в неї перед очима і не чула нічого, що кажуть друзі.
Кирилло зробить все для того аби Моллі була його, але повністю сконцентрувати свою увагу на ній він не може адже у Нью-Йорк за наказом батька прибув зведений брат Крилла - Ніко. Він не може програти цю битву за титул йому, і відпустити Меллорі теж.
Чи зможе він захисти її, і виграти цю битву влади?..
З плюсів книга читається доволі швидко і не дивлячись, що більшість подій які відбувались далі я передбачала було цікаво. До того ж завершилась книга дуже інтригуюче - відразу взяла читати наступну.
А цій книзі ставлю 3/5⭐️

Molly and Kirill met in high school, when she became his guide when he transferred schools. Mollys father got tangled up in nasty business with the bratva which happened to be the Kirill’s fathers bratva. Kirill wants nothing to do with that life but he sells his soul to his father so he can clear Mollys fathers debt, only for him to find out that Molly and her family ran.
Of course Kirill never forgot about this and spent 7 years searching for her until one day he found her again. When I tell the man is absolutely OBSESSED, yes he wants to make her pay but he’s still obsessed👀
The chemistry between these two and oh lord the spice- that cliffhanger had me screaming at my kindle, thank god I don’t have to wait for the second half of the duet (yes I’m diving straight in👀)

This had a lot of potential but the H was a moron so it really dulled the shine here. The H is hellbent on hating and taking his revenge on h based on a misunderstanding. Did your eyes roll involuntarily? Yeah, me too.
Ok, I’ll give you some leeway because he was a young, dumb idiot when the misunderstanding transpired. However 7 years later, this idiot is faced not only with new information but a mountain of evidence to support it and but the big bad mafia dude is too dumb to change his course.
The reader gets the whole picture. He hates her. He loves her. He’s beyond obsessed. He has this ridiculous need to “break” her but predictably starts to immediately regret it when it seems like he may be succeeding on his mission. He’s a total asshole in every interaction to ensure she doesn’t suspect he actually loves her. I started to gag every time we’re subjected to the sad little dichotomy between his actions and inner thoughts.
The heroine is a poster child for doormats. The author tries to convince you she’s a fighter and feisty etc but gives no evidence to support it other than getting mouthy with H for a paragraph before immediately folding to whatever bullshit he’s pulling now.
He takes her vcard at 39% and it’s really underwhelming

For me - an obsessed, OTT, alpha hero would not even think about sleeping with anyone else other than their other half. I get it - seven years is a long time. But if he loved her even half as much as he claimed no other woman would have been on his radar, even for a quick release. Spare me.

Just okay. I know a lot of people were mad that he was with other women during separation, but I honestly didn't care. Heroine annoyed me and was weak, a huge pushover, and I just didn't care about the couple enough to worry about the separation stuff. Also, he never once mentioned ow, or anything he did during separation so it's a bit open on what could have happened, but no details for safety gang (unless I accidentally skimmed).
Other than than, it was just an okay story. It was interesting enough to read it all, but it was pretty cheesy at times, and the whole hate-love thing was annoying and repetitive, and why he hated her was so dumb. Heroine should have at least let him know she was leaving him tho or something, so I guess it was kinda her fault, but they're both so overdramatic for no reason.
Overall, just an okay story.

This man is so conflicted it was kinda funny. He is angry, possessive and sometimes psychotic. He has problems to communicate his feelings but I liked him.

I don‘t get why this story is divided in a duet? It felt like nothing important happened in this book. Don‘t get me wrong it was good and enjoyable but I think the author could have put both books from the duet in one. This book here is over 300 pages and we just got the introduction. It felt longer than necessary.
Still it was entertaining and I had fun reading it.
Mallory and Kirill share a past and I liked the little flashbacks we got from them. Both are in love with each other but gone through a lot of things too - they’re not the same they were in school. I liked their dynamic and tension. Mallory stood her ground against Kirill and you can see in his monologue how deeply he cares for her.
Kirills brother Nikolai is an interesting characters and I‘m curious about his own goals and how everything will develop.
Overall an enjoyable mafia read with a possessive man and a likeable woman.

Reading other people's reviews of this book got me thinking I wouldn't like it.......but everyone is different and I bloody loved this so damn hard!!!!
Molly and Kirill meet in high school when he's transferred from another school, she's rich and he isn't. She becomes his guide, his friend. Molly's father becomes tangled in a weave of a mess with the bratva and yes you guessed it they are Kirill's fathers bratva!! Shock horror lol. This is where Kirill becomes the hero and he pays off her fathers debt he basically sells his soul to his father to help out hers. Only to find it's too late and Molly and her father have fled.
Dum Dum Dum.........Kirill never forgets about this and spends 7 years looking and searching everywhere for his Molly. Until that day comes and she's found only to realise she never moved out of New York because she wanted to find him too. This guy is obsessive!!! When I tell you he's obsessed he's OBSESSED!!!!! This is where Kirill becomes the hero and he pays off her fathers debt he basically sells his soul to his father to help out hers. Only to find it's too late and Molly and her father have fled.
Dum Dum Dum.........Kirill never forgets about this and spends 7 years looking and searching everywhere for his Molly. Until that day comes and she's found only to realise she never moved out of New York because she wanted to find him too. This guy is obsessive!!! When I tell you he's obsessed he's OBSESSED!!!!! I love a OTT possessive and crazy guy, I mean who doesn’t, but Kirill was just OTT psychotic. He went from being a dark Bratva guy determined to find the girl who disappeared on him 7 years prior, to this obsessed psychopath who found her, kidnapped her, threatened her friends and moms safety, tied her to the bed, then shot one of her friends- all in a spilt second. For a second I felt like he truly loved Mallory and wanted a second chance with her, but after he flipped his humanity switch and his behavior changed and his demeanor became dark and cold- even towards Mallory, well now I’m left wondering.
I liked Mallory, but I found her to be a doormat at times. I expected a lot more hurt, pushback, anger, I don’t know, something when she found out he was engaged. Even when he said yes he was engaged but he wasn’t going to marry anyone else, I still expected Mallory to be angry and hurt. But nope. Everything was fine. She was back to wanting him and thinking she could fix him and make him like her old Kirill.
After reading Mila’s other series I was always curious about Nikolai and how he got that scar. I haven’t read his duet, so I don’t know the full story, but I got a good idea after reading this book who it came from and let’s just say I’m excited to read his and Sofia’s story after this duet!

I needed something non fantasy after fantasy taking over my reads this month.
And this book delivered perfectly! It’s a dark mafia romance, obsessive and possessive MMC, and touch her and die vibes.
Such a good read with a pretty good plot. Delicious spice. Characters have changed and grown, and they still have time to grow some more in the next book.

🤩So I was super excited for this read. It was supposed to be an OTT JP super obsessed semi stalker read. And it definitely WAS all those things.
⚠️BUT I stopped reading and starting skimming to finish this duet around the mid mark for book 1. To say I was super bummed ☹️ is an understatement.

✨First let me say many will love this read. It hits all the marks. ✨First loves, ✨heartbreak, ✨obsession, ✨2nd chance, ✨staking, ✨forced proximity, ✨OTT JP, ✨touch her and die, ✨a virgin FMC, ✨Mafia family drama and a ✨HEA. So this is why I still gave 2 stars.
🤷🏼♀️So it should have been amazing right? Ugh nope not for me. So let me lay out why I ended up skimming.
🌤️Again this was just a ME thing but I feel any sensitive readers should be aware. I sat on my feeling for this for a few days before deciding to review cause again… some will love this read and I didn’t want to put a negative review out there for a read that could be amazing for others.
✨Ok…. So for the overall story it was a good story Mafia drama it was written well and I would have normally enjoyed most of it.
💫 Kirill and Molly met in HS and bonded at 16/17yrs old. They became BFF and fell in love hard. Something happens w her Dad and she asks Kirill for help.
This leads Kirill to go to his dad for help a mafia Don. Kirill has stayed away from his dad and wants nothing to do with him but he did it to protect Molly.
Mollys dad forces her hand and makes her leave the same night without a word to Kirill.
✨Fast forward to present time. Molly has been looking for Kirill. Kirill has been obsessively looking for Molly.
✨7 yrs apart both looking for each other.
He finds her and it all plays out from there.
😡Kirill is super salty. He’s hurt and mad at Molly but also super obsessed and unwilling to let her leave him again. He turned into a dark made man and is changed. His dad made him into a monster.
😅while Molly is just so happy to be with him again. She was kinda a doormat in book 1.
💫So as the book goes we find out the extent of Kirill obsession for 7 yrs. He has spent years planning to ✨abduct her, ✨take over her life completely,✨marry her, ✨breed her, ✨He buys her childhood home and renovates it for her, ✨set up his penthouse so she can’t escape,✨as he was being made a monster he only thinks about her to keep him sane and the list goes on.
😡But he wants revenge first. So he treats her like an object for the entire first book. He refuses to sleep with her in his bed. Gives her a separate room. Makes her wear degrading things. He’s super cold and standoffish. He doesn’t want to open his heart to her again. So he does everything he can to keep her in her place. They don’t communicate or even really talk about themselves and the past 7yrs or what happened that night.
⚠️So to my major issue that I just couldn’t get past……
⚠️Kirill spends the 7 yrs sleeping with OW. Now he keeps it impersonal. He fucks them from behind and keeps it to a transaction. This is unacceptable! OTT JP obsessed stalkers don’t fuck OW! Period
💔Molly won’t even let another man touch her. It makes her sick. So she saved herself completely for him! 🤬
🤬When Kirill takes her V…. He fucks her like one of his OW! He took her from behind, made it impersonal, didn’t even remove clothes! And he knew she was a Virgin! After he buckled up his pants and treated her like another hookup.
😡THEN he asks how she is still is a V…. She tells him that she saved herself for him cause she never wanted anyone but him.
After he treated her like a piece of rando ass😤. And he was STILL cold after!
🤮Meanwhile he fucked OW for that 7yrs. Now hear me out…. If he was SO obsessed with her like we are to believe…. Then it doesn’t fit the profile. Like he shouldn’t have been able to be with OW either!
I couldn’t buy what the author was selling after that! Especially after he explained how when he fucked OW and it was the same way he took Mollys V!
💔If he loved her SO much to the extent we are being told then he should have stayed celibate. Molly did it! It’s either they both sleep with others or they both stay celibate.
It just didn’t fit his character🤷🏼♀️ and I just could get past it. So it affect how much I enjoyed the read.
😔 We also get lots of flashbacks which don’t help my feelings on this. Cause you see how connected and in love they are before they separate. So I hated the flashbacks. Cause instead of showing me what happened and how much they changed. I just see how much he loved her only to know he spent the next 7 yrs fucking OW while she stays faithful.
🤷🏼♀️To me is was cheating and a betrayal. That’s just how I felt.
😵💫 I was CONSTANTLY confused. One minute he says how he slept with others the next he say he lived like a monk🤔. Then he loves her then he hates her. He’s hot he’s cold. He constantly contradicts himself throughout the whole freaking first book. I couldn’t nail down this guy and it was SOooooooo frustrating.
‼️Then Finally at the end he gives a little and stops his BS only to have Molly pull a 180 for book 2. So then SHE was super frustrating and wish washy and irritating. This push pull I love you I hate you continued till like 65% of the second book. And even then she’s keeping a big secret just to be a bitch and doesn’t ever tell him. He has to find out through others.
‼️They NEVER communicated! Like NEVER not till the very end of book 2. So the end of the series. It was the most infuriating couple. Like they just never just jammed together and once they do the series is basically over.
‼️ EVERY situation between them is DRAGGED out to an extreme and once the situation is confronted they don’t communicate anyway 🤷🏼♀️😤
😵💫😤🤬 I should have Loved this read. Instead I was beyond frustrated, confused about who they really were, upset and just overall annoyed.
So maybe these things won’t bother you. And if not then great more power to you💪🏻.
But for me the things listed KILLED my enjoyment and if we aren’t enjoying a read than why bother.

This start to the Vicious Vengeance Duet each book so buckle up this is a wild ride, dangerous men, alpha’s personified, possessive, oh, so gorgeous, brooding all the makings of a story consisting with three D’s (dark, delicious, and dirty) 😊. There will be suspense, betrayal, death, darkness, secrets reveled, violence, hope, forgiveness, and maybe even love (ALL THINGS TO EXPECT FROM THE MAFIA WORLD). By the time you’ve figured out who is who and what is what, you’re already hooked, and you may as well give up the fight and prepare yourself for an all-nighter! CAN’T SAY YOU WEREN’T WARNED!!!!! Two people met where separated by people with other intentions so searching for each other for seven years. Kirill sexy as all get out tad bit on the crazy side, obsessed with the girl he has thought, dreamed of since meeting her looking seven years for her and the moment he finds her kidnaps her locking her away in hopes she can love him again. Mallory’s life has been easy but she never forgot about the boy she loved every she goes she looks for him so when he takes her yeah a little scary but the crazy side of her is excited a little strange saying it but hey we can’t stop reading it 😊 They have been through so much pain, such ugly things have happened but the questions are why, what did anyone have to gain from their pain, and where are they headed considering this left off with a cliffhanger….boy do I hate them but a necessary evil I guess darn cliffhangers!.

This is book one in a duet, so it does end on a cliffy.. and what a cliffy it is!! Thankfully book two is out already, cause I dove right into it!

Wicked Heir by Mila Kane is the First book in the Chernov Bratva Duet. This starts the story of Molly/Mallory and Kirill. Kirill and Molly meet in high school and they become best friends and something more. When Molly father ends up owing money to the Bratva, her father offers her up. Molly tells Kirill this who of course tells her he will fix it. Kirill hasn't wanted to be a part of the mafia but when Molly gets in danger he goes to his father who is the Bratva that her father owes money too. Of course his father says that he will fix but Kirill will have to pay a price. Now in their present day we learn Molly's father took off with them and Molly has been trying to find Kirill. Kirill is a totally different person now who wants revenge for the deal he made with his father only to have Molly run off. So their story starts fully when he finds her. This book is a dark over the top anti-hero (my favorite) and will end with a cliffhanger.

I thought we were dealing with an FMC who was strong and defiant. Every time she was presented with a choice to do what was asked of her or face the consequences, she caved with very little resistance. It was very disappointing. I thought she would show more of the backbone we heard a lot about. Also, some details were forgotten or skipped over which brought me out of the story and I had to reread certain parts.

I loved every single thing about this book. It was amazing. The relationship, the character building. The 🌶️ scenes. This book was gold 🏆.
