James Churchward is best known as a British born occult writer. However, he was also a patented inventor, engineer, and expert fisherman.

He was the elder brother of the Masonic author Albert Churchward (1852–1925.) He was a tea planter in Sri Lanka before coming to the US in the 1890s. In James' biography entitled My Friend Churchey and His Sunken Continent, he discussed Mu with Augustus LePlongeon and his wife in the 1890s. He patented NCV Steel, armor plating to protect ships during World War I, and other steel alloys. After a patent-infringement settlement in 1914, James retired to his 7+ acre estate on Lake Wononskopomuc in Lakeville, Connecticut, to answer the questions from his Pacific travels. In 1926, at the age of 75, he published The Lost Continent of Mu: Motherland of Man, which he claimed proved the existence of a lost continent, called Mu, in the Pacific Ocean.

There was a lot to this book, but for me there was too much detail about geography and migration. That part of it was monotonous for me, unfortunately. Most of the actual teachings that came from Mu were mentioned in the previous book, “The Lost Continent of Mu”, but it’s the spiritual learnings I was most interested in. That came at the end of the book and it’s very profound. I don’t know why people can’t believe that this continent and it’s people existed when they can so quickly believe in the myths and legends of the bible. I guess it all boils down to what we are allowed to be taught and what we are not.

Pretty much a complete fabrication, which is why it goes under Fantasy rather than what it claims to be, which is nonfiction.

I don't see the need to try to pull the wool over people's eyes like this. Well, of course there's the "money" aspect.

This excellent book presents an alternative history of humanity that makes so much more sense to me than that taught in our schools and universities. If only the Chaldis were still with us.
